Honestly really impressed and that's just on the road ! The real clever bit has yet to be used on track, not that anyone will be impressed with my times but still good to use and learn from :)

Seriously considering one of these for road use but a couple questions. Did you have to do this extra step http://hmquickshifter.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/HONDA-CBR-1000-KIT-LOOM-NOTICE.pdf

Also my local dealer said you can program in the odometer reading from the stock dash so you can pick up where it left off. Can you verify that?

The reason I was looking at this is because it costs $1150 Australian here but then you don't need a gear indicator (GiPro DS) or a speedo healer if you use the builtin GPS for the speed source. Although you lose the speedo if you go into a tunnel and it won't revert back to the ECU speed automatically.

Since this thread is a month or so old do you have any extra feedback of using this dash for the road? Trying to justify the cost in my head :)

Had mine since last year and love it- justify it on the road, that's a tough question as it depends on your on circumstances.

I personally wouldn't be without mine now- why, coz it cool!

I can spare the money but I don't have a way to look at one and really check it out so just want to make sure it's worth it

Are you able to comment on my questions above?

Also I was told the Advanced Fuel Management feature doesnt work on our bikes but do you still get the reverse light etc?

It plugs straight into the existing loom without any mods at all, I didn't have to do that. As it looks like it's from their website Ben (Toby on here) would have to confirm what its about.

    Yes the odometer is programable.

Yes the reserve light does come on in addition to an icon on the dash.

Worth noting you can programme the sprocket teeth number.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, see it's on the HM site but not sure what it relates to as like in mentioned, just plugged mine in and worked fine, although there is a set up process for the her indicator that's similar to the gi pro. Don't think Jamie had to do the loom thing either.

HM (Toby/Ben) or Arthur would be best placed to confirm.

Maybe it's a leftover and they found a solution afterwards. You use yours on the road or just track?

I will only be doing one or two track days a year but love the gadgetry of it! Wouldn't want it to be a pain to use on the road though.

I installed the following on my Aprilia Caponord 1200 that interfaces into a mobile app to give you tons of extra info Aprilia Multimedia Platform - Page 4

The Caponord already has a lot of extra information on it's dash but this app goes so much further.

Think the download you referred to is for the hrc loom and ecu for racing which does away with a couple of features that the standard loom has

Just read something, yeah your right mate. Only relevant if there's a HRC loom fitted and not required with the standard loom.

Ahh ok, makes sense as they listed it at "kit loom".

Hi Fredaroony, it is exactly that. If you have the HRC Kit loom then this does not output speed and since speed is required to make the Gear Ratio calibration process work you would be required to do this modification to put a "stock" speed source to the Dash.

If you do not have the HRC loom then your fine and its just plug and play :)

Hope that helps but if not please ask more questions as there lots of good guys on here that know our products very well and I'm also here to help as and when I can :)

I have the HM Dash and I have just finished fitting a HRC loom - the speed signal mod is the last thing.
The HM notice advises that pin #4 (black/pink wire) has to be removed from the Dash connector plug & the wire cut, then a new wire from speed sensor plug (pink/green wire) to the former #4 pin, then put that pin into position #5.
Has anyone on here done this mod?
Mine seems a little different; the pink black wire is in position # 6. And... How are you meant to remove the pins out?
    Hope someone can help.
