Driving from york to knockhill circuit (dunfermline) on thursday morning. Any of you who take a similar route? Dunno whether to do a66 all the way, a1 a68 or a1 a697???? Which have dual carriageway/motorway?

I have done all 3 either going to or from Edinburgh and there is not much in it, but find the A1 and A697 a more interesting route, just be careful of the speed cameras north and south of Berwick. There are lots of them. Have a safe journey mate.

Blimey, you're all set for a family holiday :D

The last 2 times I towed a bike back from Scotland I took the Coldstream road to the A1 at Newcastle. Wouldn't want to do it again though as I spent half of it looking through the back window to make sure that the bike was still there
