Cant see a lot of difference to the existing R1 other than getting rid of the f***ing ugly underseat exhaust system. Cant Yamaha can come up with something a bit more radical for their new flagship sorts bike. IMHO
Almost looks like a toy motorbike... I did that once and sent it to my brother and he thought it was real lol!
Either way.... The attention to detail on these is something else, check out how they even change the swing arm configuration due to the exhaust now being down the side.... Edit Been here before with the new r1, but Kar lee is the daddy when it comes to mock up bikes. Great blend of new style with retro colours. Just because it's a photoshop don't mean it's not official from yam. Not saying it is or isn't but they do these type of pics to approve designs etc.
think these are the spy pics they used to confirm its still an IL4.... they said they put r6 body onto it (just as bmw did when testing s1000rr) so not best indication of what it'll look like I don't think... does mean its not going to be a bulky old thing though! although I like the size of the new one for road - doesn't win races I guess....
It was Kar Lee's mock up of the R1 that first got my attention of the bike. If it did look like his design, I'd be in there like swimwear.
