    Hi guys
Has anybody purchased or tried the new budget HM quick shifter on the blade and can give me a decent review.
Been thinking of getting a quick shifter for a few months now been put off the dyno jet one and funds won't allow me to purchase the dogs danglers HM one but could possibly stretch to the budget one

    Thanks in advance

Going to be a test of all 4 HM models in next months Fast Bikes. I'm holding off until then.

    From HM's FB Page:

Was you at Focus Events Brands Hatch trackday yesterday??

If so you might have seen Mr Al Fagan from Fast BIkes riding our brand new CBR1000RR aroundthe GP circuit testing our new Super Lite, the Plus, Plus SS and of course the GP!!

Buy the next issue of Fast Bikes to find out his thoughts on them, we will be!

I was there :) did not have naff all to do with the testing other than chatting to Fagan (fast bikes) and Lee from HM, they are what they are and the order is as the model list.

Super light, one kill time 60ms , budget shifter (all this info has been posted by Ben in the HM section).

HM Plus, GREAT shifter, simple tech and 100% rock solid and proven.

HM SS, AWESOME value for money same CPU (I think) as the GP and seamless shift with the same options as the Plus only you can move up and down the menu options with the shift peddle rather than just go up with the one button the Plus has. My personal fav of the four.

HM GP, FULL FAT motoGP quickshifter, countless options, Blipper output, TC (soon), kill times for all gears and LOADS AND LOADS AND LOADS more!

Tbh no matter what one you buy you will love it, a bike with no shifter is like missing one arm (no disrespect to anyone who only has one arm or leg like my father) but as I say a simple shifter is better than no shifter and I am sure the new super light will be a big seller!

not knowing much about the HM's,how does the gp version sort TC? or is it a bit like the bazzaz unit where the QS is just part of the set up,and piggy backs onto the ECU?

None of the HM (other than the HM Power commander) piggy back they are all stand alone, the TC is still under development but my guess is as the GP has engine RPM data and wheel speed data they will be used to control traction, the GP unlike the others is fully upgradeable by means of USB and firmware updates so all I can say is watch this space (or HM's website). No idea how long but I know they are on the case.

And yes, guessing I would say it will be looking for engine spikes and wheel speed abnormalities like the Bazzaz but I am guessing as I do not have any info, best bet would be call HM for the true insight to TC.

How convenient is it that the 4 sensors are the same length as the standard rod on our 2014 Blade.

I would do anyone a nice deal if they brought all 4 like that pmsl. It worked out very well for the testing and only then required Leigh to simply unplug one and plug the other in. If I had known you were there Arthur I would have made an effort to go but as I had a short week I had a lot on but I would have found time had I known for you ;)

Fast Bikes test/review will be published next month and they were very strict in that the writing will be there views and thoughts and not ours on all shifters. So if they didn't like it they will write it but we have no issues with that as everyone knows, HM are the best there is and we work damn hard at making sure they stay at the top of the game.

Anyone of the range you will love, that is for sure so its just down to your budget and your specific needs. But trust me when I say this, if you think "How can the model up from what I have be any better?" Trust me when I say it is ;) Unless you have the GP off course as there is no better lol ;)

I have the plus and am very happy with it, I don't see how the others could be any better and don't want to know as I spent my final penny's on the plus and can barely afford to ride it now lol

So if I took off my hm plus, is it a simple unplug and replace job with the SS without having to do a full strip down again. I'm assuming you can buy just the electronics and sensor witHout having to buy a loom or shift rod. Wonder how much that is....mmmmmm
