Mate it sounds a lot on paper but straight away 11% goes for my pension by 2013 it'll be 15% so straight away £6k gone!!! I pick up a lot less than you'd think, they are screwing us massively and it'll get worse. My mates a machine operator earns less an hour than me by a bit but picks ip loads more than me!!! My mates selling over £2k of snap on kit it's a few months old he wants £900

Ahh it sued to be To add my brother in law has about 20k worth of snap on but still rates many other makes of tool. mainly due to being on the tools for 25+ years and not falling for the one make is better than the rest crap others sometimes do
Not about what you earn mate... It's about justifiability... Someone that doesn't use them often or doesn't have the knowledge to do them justice is purely wasting money on them that they could prioritise on other things!! I can't fix anything for shit, hence crap tools I use for basic stuff, I can ride better than most hence no compromise on tyres, perormance and handling gear!! That's where I benefit in spending money... It's the same with anything, I'm mutton (bikes have fucked my hearing) so I'm not going to drop 5k on a Bose stereo... But someone who loves it will and rightly so, as they will get the pleasure they deserve from it!! My old man prob has well over 100k worth of collectable push bikes he doesn't ride.... Stupid hey!!! I hear you mate. (but only just). My hearing' shagged too. Too many years around industrial extraction systems, but in my case I find the Bose sound system in my car helps. Well at least I can turn it up enough that I can hear it. LOL.

I have a mix up, as long as they are qual tools that fit thats all that matters. When people come to me they pay for the use of top tools and service.. BUT if your in the trade of bikes etc you have to love tools as much as the bike you work on imo.. Had some of these from when I was 14 now 39.. I will tell you this just as it says Snap-On does not mean its the best some Snap-On stuff is SH#T!
completely agree fella, the ultra top end snap on stuff is unbeatable, but the run of the mill stuff is no better than others available. ill get some pics up at some point.
Listen i just fooking hate halfords as a lot of my customers have been butt fooked by them! I aint saying dont buy there tools i am however saying I WONT!!! I agree with you on the snap on sid arthur some of it is shit and its one of them as long as the tool does the job well its good in my eyes!! Take for example the bluepoint coolant tester we just got 290 notes + vat first vehicle i go to connect it to 2.3 transit 55 plate it wont fooking FIT AARRGGHH!! Fook making shit for the american market i live in england haha!! Nice set up arthur mate
