As most of the regulars know I have now moved to a more comfortable bike due to back and knee issues, I'm going to miss the Blade it was awesome when I could use it to the best of my abilities, reliable, fun, fast and still the best sportsbike out there IMO But after a few test rides etc I have picked the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S touring as my new bike, I wanted a comfortable bike with plenty of power etc to do the daily 120 mile trip, and the ride back confirmed I have made the right choice it's bonkers for a bike that has panniers and a top box lol I'm not going to go mad modding this one after I changed virtually everything on the blade it came with R and G crash protection and ducati top box and I have added a second hand Termignoni slip-on can and some new Pilot Road 4 tyres as I love them and trust them to do everything I want ... That should do me for now
Nice one mate, If i was forced to have a duke...I think thats the one id have too. Seriously tho, Hope you enjoy riding her and your so full of shit about not modding her, lol thats the most unlikely thing I've read all month. Have fun mate, if you ned me to hide your credit card for you just ask
Not a problem at all mate. It would be much safer than say.....you stumbling on something like this Multistrada Performance Parts - Ducati Online - Ducati Bikes Glasgow I mean that would be dangerous, happy to help!
Really keen to hear how you get on with it. I've been looking at one of these for when I have my long commutes and for when I fancy a tour. Originally was going to spend around £4k on something but I see I can get one of these for around £8.5 and they seem to get stonking reviews. Enjoy it. It looks great.
Will be following with interest Jamie, I love me blade however my prolapsed disc doesn't, been looking at the multistrada sport , did you get it from riders ?
Yes I did in the end, also looked at a couple of different dealers but in the end there's was the nicest bike and the best deal on trade in, Jeremy at riders was excellent to deal with There are cheaper bikes out there but at least I know my bike has all recalls done, latest software and I can take it back reasonably near to me if needs be
Nice bike Jamie I hope this one works for you I'm sure you said you were going to keep the blade standard though...............
Nice bike Jamie! I see your charging the battery, Duc's are lazy starts and need a good charged battery, always sound like they may not start ( mine always did). I've had 2 naked bikes in the last 6 years but always missed my sports bike ( it's only a matter of time though). I should have tried something like the multistrada Enjoy the new toy ! Oh! By the way I have the socket for the rear wheel if you want it?
if I was in your position it would be either this or the new ktm adventure, great bike though so when do the mods start lol
Congratulations mate.. Have you ordered your mh dash yet lol.. All the best with it mate . Hope your happy together
It's a lot better on starting than my 1098S was couple of cranks and it goes and doesn't cut out straight away like the 1098 did It seems to be the best of both worlds at the moment but only time and a few 1000 miles will tell, can't wait
Not going to mod it... Lets just look into the crystal ball at how Jamie's Multistrada will look in 18 months time... Nah, that's bollox.... he'll have sold it by then...
I've got to say mate, that I like them. Maybe something I'll think about when the missus get back to pillion riding again for our tours away.
