This is the problem. I have booked next week off, I might have to do a couple of conference calls but other than that my time should be my own. L has booked for us to go to Le Touquet for a couple of days early next week. Plenty of wonderful seafood and wine, perfect for just slowing down a tad. The rest of the week was going to be chill out time at home doing a few things that need to be done, however, and here is the rub…… My youngest son is in Barcelona on one of those immersion language courses, his mother is Spanish and I used to speak it reasonably well, but like all skills, when you stop using is and it turns to shit. But he really wants to learn his mothers language, which I applaud and support 100%. My limit now would be ordering beer and food……….which will be useful seeing as he has suggested we fly out at the end of next week for a couple of nights R&R on the town. My first reaction was no as just lately I have been working mega hours and there have been a fair few party hard events meaning I haven’t been giving L the attention she deserves. Ok, we live in the same home but we might as well have been strangers just lately. But when I mentioned Jacks suggestion she said, you should go……………you have precious little snatched time with your sons. Go and have a good time with him. Those that know me are aware I dropped everything and flew round the world to sort a problem with my oldest son earlier in the year but just going on the piss is not the same thing is it. So, do I go on a bender in Barcelona with Jack or stay at home and play nice…
Go for a piss up with your son mate, you will get plenty of chances with the wife I'm sure. Chances like this wont always come up with your kids so make the most of it
Go, you never know when you will have this opportunity again. My son is 10 and time has just disappeared, before I know it I'll be enjoying a beer with him too.
It was Jacks intention that we both go. He and his brother, love her as much as I do but L is not keen on the idea of me falling through the door at day light and then sleeping it off all day to go and do it all again. So has elected she would rather stay at home and do her own thing, or as she put it, I can arrange both your court bails much easier from home without having to witness it. I have to say she is a diamond. I don’t know any other women who would put up with the shit I put her through. I know at my cost my ex-wife didn’t.
personally,if you don't get to spend much time as a couple I'd go for that. and le touquet is an awesome place to kick back,then go spend some money In the casino
