I just stopped once......for fuel! 1 hour 40 minutes charge time on 240V - impressive. Agree battery technology etc. is improving all the time. Top website, thanks for posting.

Yes Ian and to think rutter broke the 100 mph lap in 2012 then this year mcg does a 117 not good at maths but that's about 17% in two years in prob 5 more I think it will smash the out and out lap record ,do you think the bookies will give me odds, all joking aside the mission bike is impressive ;)

i'd imagine you can if you pull it up,loads of torque.

i think it's definatley going this way,but think 5 yrs is a little optimistic.

the issue (as far as TT goes) is the limited distance it can travel,as in no 6 lap races

There's a video on that link of him doing a wheelie so I guess the answer to that is yes :D

Looks good and I rarely ride further than 100 miles so range is great but sometimes I like to just go for a spin to hear the exhaust raw so I think I would be bored quick

plus that 140 mile range is at a standard road speed combined with town, so max of 70mph, if you get a bit more throttle fun (as most do), the power will go much sooner :(

TT will still only be good for one lap at race speeds me thinks also?
and NO exhaust note is a big put off for me, will need to carry speakers with MOTOGP sound wav lol :)

Replacement batteries would be extortionate if cars are anything to go by.

indeed and I bet each charge will take away a little capacity as in most batteries?

Yes simon your right the battery's life will only last so long and expensive to replace,it's a weird feeling riding a electric bike not tried one but I have a electric woosh bike similar scenario just a crank but it only gets me 25 miles then I have to revert to pedal power but saves me a fortune going to work

It looks absolutely stunning though doesn't it. What an amazing piece of technology...

And in my number too :)

    image.jpg

Obviously I'd take the old fashioned petrol engine all day, but I'm glad they are pioneering this stuff now, as when (and I think it'll be in my lifetime) they ban petrol engines, at least we will have the performance to match (or prob better) when it's time to swap...

As for wheelies yes no probs, as the power is instant, my pal Russ flipped one of those 3k leccy mountain bikes lol... Bloke wasn't too impressed who just bought it ha ha

FCUK ME!!! well I don't want one that doesn't have 13 megapixels with full 1080p video capture and have Facebook and 1000rr.co.uk apps!! Oh and boombox sound! :D

They are stunning bits of kit thought but I do think they should go down the hybrid route for the road!
The AA and RAC will be rubbing their hands with anticipation! I had Technician come into work in a £26k Electric Peugeot city car she had 12 miles left on the read out but had 20 mile to get back to her office! If she runs out it is road side recovery :D

No doubt the batteries and motors will get better! one thing is for certain they're definitely here to stay ;)

Am sure Apple will bring one out. It won't let you do anything it doesn't want you to do, and future models will just be a little bit faster and a little bit bigger. They will probably decide not to fit a GPS though, and it won't work if you don't hold the throttle properly between your thumb and little finger.

    ;)
