Changing my oil from Silkolene Pro 4 10w40 to the thinner Silkolene Pro 4 Energy 10w30 and noticed the 10w30 is not dyed red like the 10w40.

    Can anyone else confirm this??

    Thanks in advance!!

Dunno about the engine oil but I know each of the weights of silkolene fork oil has a different colour for easy identification!

Yup. Lower weight oil was blue rather than the purple.

Normally use Castrol Racing but there does seem to be an improvement with the Pro 4, noticeably slicker gear changes.

Graeme do you remember the colour of the 10w30?

Have a word with Opie Oils on here. Think they use the name OilMan.

A quick googling and they do seem to adopt similar colour changes in the engine oils as they adopt in fork oils.

That's reassuring! I'll stop worrying and just ride it.
