It's true I saw Elvis riding it at the tea shed on Blackheath yesterday. I asked if it was really the new blade and if it was available in urban tiger and he said ' uh- heh- ha' Oh yes. GaryS
just looked and thought thats not the 2015 blade. but considering we have only had minor changes to the blade since 2008 when the hell is Honda going to wow us with a 200BHP monster of a blade and all singing BM beating rider aids and the best handling out there as they did in 2008. I am keeping hold of my 2011 blade until they release the real new Blade but if Honda don't surprise us in 16 then I think i'm looking else ware. but thats only if they don't show the world a new bike in 16. and do the minor changes to body work and a few added extras. I feel Honda need to do something sooner than later
I know what your saying to dude as I have a detachable traction control ,abs on mine! Which also writes, picks up a pint! It also was and still is at times a big part of my sex life and it's got me in & out of trouble on countless occasions as never ever let me down and it's control by the most sophisticated, complexed computer know to man, the human brain! All hail MY RIGHT WRIST!!! No electronics come close to bike control, caution, anticipation and but most importantly presence of mind, reading what going on around you! Us Jedi's would be fcuked without it
fair enough ur right yes. but i think i would change my mind if i was on a zx10 also I'm not a bsb rider with enough control as them. traction gives me a safety blanket a small one but it helps. i would be happier pushing hard with it rather than without it. do u ride on the track?
hahaha what a load of shit.if your brain/right hand is the best TC out there, then tell me,why do they use it in the top classes of bike racing? do you really think they could ride the bikes as fast as they do without it?. what you saying is that you don't push/ride your bike fast or hard enough to warrant it,theres a big difference there.
thsts a point, did u see what happened to danny pedrosa when his tc sensor come off the back wheel lol
to be fair though, that only happened because he thought he had TC,so wouldn't have wound it on as much knowing he didn't.
Doesn't the first sentence contradict the second one ? I think you are right though, having the riders aids enables someone to ride faster and perhaps safer. Of course a MOto GP bike needs it if they are to use those types of speed with that much bhp, but I would disagree that that the current range of 1000 cc bikes avilable to buy for us mere mortals actually needs it though. I prefer to ride using my own skill of body and mind co-ordination just like HRCTrev was saying. Each to their own of course. If your racing I guess you have no option to even out the playing field and I can understand that.
Indeed riders have become to used aids that when it's suddenly and unexpectedly taken away they crash It would be good to see riders controlling there own bikes by throttle modulation rather than computers giving them a helping hand? But then aids are the way things are going so unless we do retro racing then we are stuck with them
from my wording yes I guess it does, but (obviously) it meant that electronic TC,not your brain as a form of TC. and I have said a few times in the past, and this is based purely on track riding as my road bike doesn't have tc,and cant really see a need for it at the speeds I ride and way I ride on the road, but if your on track, puxhing your limits, which are usually below the bikes,it's nice to have a safety net,as I found onmy last outing at oulton,I may have crashed without it,maybe I wouldn't,but I'm glad I had TC there either way.
In all honesty, I think anything that helps to reduce risk/danger to a rider is a positive thing whether someone rides on the road or track. I ride country roads, which are often damp, muddy, wet , loads of loose gravel and leaves (in autumn/winter) TC would probably provide me with a bit of a safety net. Even at relatively low speeds it is easy to lose traction (I sometimes do) but I just enjoy the manual control of it. Maybe one of the reasons I am a biker is because I like the fact it is dangerous, so if I added safety nets it might reduce my buzz.

I reckon the blade needs traction control. I've only had mine since March and not had a litre bike before. What I find when coming out of corners accelerating hard it's trying to put so much power down that I can feel the back end slide out. I then have to back off slightly while I feel it grip again. Dunno if others experience this or if it's my lack of knowing how hard to push the thing ?
Has anybody else actually went to chak motors link beckers posted earlier? The bikes a heavily modified abs blade........geez and they are tryin to pass this off as the safest bike available!!!! Unless the heavily modified bike also includes big changes to the Honda abs system I would expect the brakes to work as expected....the inclusion of their PEBS braking system........yeah wouldn't trust that either on the back of the blades abs!
