Keep it raised and cool as possible when resting. If it was a clean break it would have started healing within hours, it's the hardening that takes time. Walk on it as much as you dare/can to speed up the healing process and keep taking the painkillers :)
Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Hairline fracture and a torn tendon. These air boots are great.Gives alot of support with hardly any pain walking on it. Highly recommend them over a plaster cast.

Sorry to hear this Jez. Truth is, through bitter experience, it's the tendon that's going to slow the process down. It all depends on the damage, of course, but my ankle break, a six inch long spiral fracture of the fibula was fixed after six weeks in plaster and a month in an air cast, but the tendons were pulled from their anchor in my foot arch and that was sore for about five years. Now, 15 years on, it doesn't stop me doing anything, but I walk a lot and by the one mile stage the limp comes in.

Sure you'll be fine bud. Just be wary of tendon injury, it lulls you into thinking it's all better when it's not.

Well lads after a week the swelling has gone down.Today is the first day of no pain killers and managed to walk slowly without the air boot.I have just been on the bike with a pair of boots one size bigger with no problems at all changing gear etc. So biking season not over :))
