Just sold my 2012 blade as work is a little slow so i am looking for a 06/07 blade .There is a 07 cat d blade for sale with 16000 miles on the clock for £3500 it has some extras like exhaust, rear sets etc . . Does anyone on here ever bought a cat d bike ? What are the pros and cons ? I think it is a good deal but i would be afraid of the thing going wrong at speed  All thoughts on this very much appericited

    Thanks,PJ

It may cost a little to fettle it right, even if it's just a couple of hundred, then it'll always be worth less than a 'straight' bike. If you can squeeze another £750 you'll get a good one and the resale will always be better.

I've had a cat d which has been keyed on the tank I've had a cat c with a snapped chain and scratched engine cases and swing arm . They can have little or a lot of damage depends on the assessor all bikes are wrote off as parts are too expensive new so it mostly out weighs the value of bike . Check lock stops frame welds check where the clock bracket joins to frame check subframe mounts . A cat c or d bike doesn't mean the engine or wheels will fall off after 80 mph

i just bought my fireblade rr04as a second bike
    i am commuting on a nt-700 everyday
all fireblades i looked at this one was the cleanest
i could get one from ebay for £3400 even but
    tyres breaks no mot
    no road tax
    no warranty
instead i went to dealers again and paid a lot more for their bike

    i have road tax
    mot for 12 months
    warranty
    brakes everything looked good
so dont really need to spen money

riding it for 1 day i realised there is few problems with bike now bike is in service centre under honda happiness warranty
lets see what the outcome will be
hopefully they willl sort everything out ok and i will be feeling not so silly by spending some extra £££ at dealer rather than dealers
