Come across these on my search for some cbr1000rr wheels (im not going to buy them) but the fairings yeah ok they are good and getting better but wheels Love to know if anyone has tested them Sorry if they have been discussed before New Rear Wheel Rim Set Fit Honda 12 13 14 CBR1000RR 2012 2013 2014 | eBay
Looks OK and ACE value, but hand on heart would you feel safe doing 150 with those under ya? Could do with some loon buying and testing them for a season before we all bailed in! Jimbo??
You buy them and supply tyres for a round! Ill test em and hand em back to you after the weekend!? Deal or no deal....
I've seen those and all the same thoughts went through my mind about them, have bought aftermarket alloys for the car before and they cracked on the inside of the rim so would never buy for the car again
Other downside is they don't list any weights for them, no point fitting if they weigh a kilo more than standard ones
I bought a full set of stainless discs for the Blade from this seller, TBH I have no complaints and would buy from them again. Quality is excellent and the delivery was within three days. I realise discs aren't wheels, however they are just as safety critical...
Not worth the risk IMO I had some bling wheels from the states on a car I had driving down the road one day hit a small pot hole one of the wheels collapsed wouldn't fancy this happening on a bike Stick with original on a bike especially a race bike .
Yeah I know as I said I wouldn't take the chance is love one to be tested with a original wheel and see the results
One thought on this - what if this wheel is made in the same factory as the originals ? I am sure a fair number of Honda parts are now made in China so it is possible these are genuine wheels, just stamped up differently
Very possible Al. At the end of the CNC manufacturing is a piece of Piss nowadays and very cheap to do. There is no reason (before anyone pipes up the same owd tune) that they'd use inferior base metal as that's not exactly expensive either.
