Who else hates the general idea of what they stand for nowadays

99% of the media only focus on the bad stuff. Terrorists, celeb historical abuse scandals, or keep on about the same thing until everyone is bored sh**less like the Scottish referendum (I do not mind what they decide as it's not up to me). Seems the media feel they need to cover this at every moment.

you know when they have bugger all to report when they start talking about minor stuff no know thought was news.

Why on why cannot they not spend more time of positive things out there in the world or UK.

Checking my BBC app the top news today is about voting in the Scottish referendum, Muslim call for release of hostage, IS fulling UK far right backlash, child abuse scandal PPC hunt, Ebola, cash warning re uni.

All positive. I knew good news does not sell papers etc.... But is anyone else sick of being bombarded with bad new.

or is this just a sing i'm getting old.

Too many channels, air time and instant accessibility, not enough news to cover them all and say anything original about what's going on.

I, personally, have never taken a newspaper, despite much of my income in the past being generated by them, do not watch the news (unless I'm in it, or it's snowing and I'm trying to get out of going to work) and have no interest whatsover in any media fed pregnancy, whether it be royal or available as a download in HD.

I, like all true Englishmen, gain all of my worldly knowledge and opinions from the time honoured vessel of 'a bloke down the pub said...' It worked for my dad and that's good enough for me.

    And finally...

    Media are always the same.
BBC have been a disgrace up here in Scotland over the referendum as well.
Very one sided. I wonder why.

It's not really news anymore it's just celebrity gossip most of the time and which ever witch hunt Rupert Murdoch wants this time, it's all about sensationalism and lining their pockets unfortunately

The media are owned by the cabal/Rothchilds.London is owned by the Rothchilds.Even the Queen is ruled by the Rothchilds. They want this as a NO.If you look at the pressure these reporters and the presenters are under, you can see why.Their bosses are getting their arses kicked by their bosses. There is more to this than what the media are saying.Lots of things will go back to the Scots, probably half of the artifacts in Buckingham Palace.
I hope they say YES cos they would be better off and if their country is better than ours good luck to em.

"How can you hate the Colonel"
"Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you crave it fort nightly, smart arse"
    "Cuckoo"

I don't really watch the news anymore. I scan it to see if there's any earth shattering stories I should be aware of. Volcano explosions, Tsunamis, terrorist attacks. The rest of it I ignore.

In the modern day of 24 hours news channels it's mostly just filler.

Watch this, if you haven't seen it before.....

The media should spend more time giving the facts instead of telling us what and how we should think. Personally I think they are majorly responsible for the f**ked up state of this country as they have twisted opinion to their view of the world to the extent where anyone who disagrees with them is a trouble making facist thug who wants to kill woman and rape cats.

    Agreed.

Let's face it, most news is pointless and boring. They deliberately oversell it and jazz it up to make it watchable.

I dont buy a paper or watch the news.. Too depressing and all one sided. The papers are mostly owned by big business who have a hidden agenda to promote their other interests (like Murdock being involved with Fracking company's and dont you know the Sun supports fracking.. Funny that).

The news should be completely independent!!

I don't buy papers, but I do watch the news.
However, on twitter sometimes there is no getting away from what is said and printed.
Even if just to ridicule the MSM.

eg. Daily Mail today going on about a 'No' voter being punched. No quotes, no pictures etc. Yet nothing about the lad stabbed in the face last night for wearing a 'Yes' badge, of which there are pictures and twitter posts.
    Agenda ?

*the above is only a recent example, not a cue to discuss the referendum.*

Apparently new studies have found that jug-eared, bald shortarses generally possess genitalia that would put John Holmes to shame.

Unfortunately I am the proverbial exception that proves the rule

This is your fault. It's not personal. I just can't get this image out of my head since you wrote it.
