Southport Air Show - Show / Display in Southport, Southport - Southport May take the old box brownie along as I'd really like to get the Lancasters flying together and also the Vulcan as it really is near the end of its flying days now - think 2015 the final year. Was going to take bike but train is only£12 return and no risk of parking ticket like the one I got in Blackpool (but appealed and did not have to pay as no signs / lines where I put the bike) - also easier for taking kit. Main action is about 14:00 to 17:00 - not a bad spot for a ride out, a brew and some neck cricking action Southport Seafront Southport Merseyside PR8 1RY
Saw the vulcan at Farnborough and it always sounds and looks awesome, I thought they had got some new engines from Rolls Royce for it so it would be another couple of years before it got retired?
As my post on Sunday 14th Sept, I watched the 2 Lancasters's en route to Duxford, a wonderful sight Have a great day.
I went a couple of years ago and made a mistake of paying to go through a fence onto the sea front £8.00 each I think only to find I could see as much further down and not behind the " magic fence"
My old man used to drive the trucks that carried this wings for the Vulcan at AVRO Manchester where it was built.

POOR WEATHER ON SATURDAY said the post... Today was a great day - sunburnt , just hope the pictures are good - the 2 lancasters together looked and sounded amazing, as did the vulcan and typhoon. Used camcorder and SLR so hopefully between them I have something fair. Traffic was terrible but on the bike a breeze. There are no displays by the Red Arrows, the 2 Lancasters or Typhoon in 2014 now.
Few images, no editing , cropping etc. - only had a 200mm lens and struggled to get pin sharp images, need a 400mm L-series lens or similar
