After a few pm's and phone calls, i';ve uploaded a few pics and a how to r.e downgrading your iOS 8 on the iPad to ios7. Firstly, you need to download the ios7 firmware from here: (i've uploaded it to my dropbox, and will keep it there) SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP!! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/k22pel5zxezm1zs/AADWq1tHJdu6DmOUUF3L3crwa?dl=0 (i'm still uploading, but it should be there in a few mins) If not available, all other download links can be found here for your iPad, wether iPad 2, 3 or new iPad air http://www.evad3rs.net/2013/04/ios-7-download-install-links-how-to.html Then, plug in your iPad to your pc/mac or laptop. Open iTunes and click on the iPad on the left hand side. Go to summary, (it's the option at the top of the page in iTunes) Then you'll end up with a window like this: if you have a mac, click on ALT key while pressing restore iPad button in iTunes (as arrowed in image) If you have a pc or windows based laptop, then instead of clicking ALT, you need to press the SHIFT key. iTunes will then ask you to locate the IPSW of ios7. direct it to your desktop where you downloaded the file! this will restore your iPad to iOS 7 and get rid of ios8.
It's a Bag-O-Shyte at the mo till it manages to extract it's self from 'Bug City'! Oh, and for all the Apple lovers I do actually own an iPhone and an iPad, both of which I've palmed off on the eldest daughter. Me and the Droid get along far better!
Me too although I do use an iPad. I last about one day on my company supplied iPhone but end up going back to my Moto X. Downgrading my iPad mini to 7.1.2 as iOS 8 made it rubbish. Who knows when Apple will stop signing 7.1.2 so better not take too long.
Please can I add a caveat to all the above. If you are on IOS8 and your last backup was when you were on IOS8, if you revert to IOS7 your device will be wiped clean and when it tries to restore from your IOS8 backup it will not be able to read it. I have, by dint of being a complete twat and not paying attention to what I was doing, managed to revert to IOS7 but destroy my backup, so even reverting to IOS8 will avail me not. All my notes, photographs, videos and all the other personal stuff I've assembled and cosseted over the last three years are lost.

You will also find after downgrading that iCloud backup will no longer work. Didn't on my iPad Air or iPhone. Need to back them up manually now via iTunes.
