For the racers next year.as were all prob not 16 and 8 stone, Is anyone wanting to get down or up to a fitter weight. We could log our progress and see if we get there or not
I was 13.8 stone beginning of season I got to down to 12.5 for June I stay between 12.5 and 13 stone so ok with that I just need to get fitter 10 lap race I'm fooked
Beginning of the year i was 105kg, I've been as heavy as 130kgs a couple of years ago. I get to the gym at least 5 times a week and do the tread mill for 5 miles. I will be shaking it up over the winter months adding dead lifts and squats to the routine for core strength, not heavy weights as my goal isn't to get big again. I would like to be around 75kg for next year, I'm currently 86.....
That's some sway in weight mate, take it you were bigger cos of lifting weights and not being a lazy bastid lol..... My fitness has let me down this year if I'm honest, and with lack of fitness comes extra weight. Currently 14.5 stone but need to get down to under 13.5 for next year, I'm never that light even at my leanest playing rugby at 18/19 was still 14 stone (but for the right reasons) but for me it's all about getting in shape. Weight will be what it'll be, but aim to do more cardio and toning rather than weight to keep it down as a minimum. Next year will be a full season for me if I do it so want to make sure I'm in best shape possible, gets annoying fading in races or knowing you could push harder if you wasn't so fecked.... Lol
Cor uv all started and done well. Ur right about Phil Crowe. I'd like to up weight a bit. Definitely improve fitness. Did a no limits race of 18 laps at brands and just had to give up I was ruined
Brands was hard core wasn't it!! Lol their races are quite long tbh. What class was the 18 lapper?? Sure ours were 14? Can't remember tbh.... Brands was prob the toughest next to donny IMO. Was goosed.... Funny thing is I usually feel best last race Sunday.... Adrenaline or completely numb? Not sure which one ha
12 laps of Snetterton 300 was the worst for me seriously blowing out my arse and couldnt be bothered after 8 ha ha just hanging on asleep
I need to lose 10kg. Been doing all the healthy eating and exercise over the past 12 months and have actually managed to out weight on Even considering talking to the quack but suspect he will just say it is age. Have even packed the beers in until I have I lost 3kg.
Im quite considering packing the drinking in after croft as i eat and train well all week then have a skinfull sat and spend all sunday in bed eating takeaway and watching racing lol. I was 10.5 stone last year and pretty lean if I can get there again I'll be mega chuffed
I ain't racing, but plan on doing some track days next year. Currently I'm sitting at 16.5st and all for the wrong reasons, rather than a few years ago when it was down to body building. Plan is over the next few months, till the start of next season is to hit the cardio and core strength until then and get down to 14.5st. Can't see it being a problem, as I have dropped 3 stone in less time than that.
I'm going to need to be slim, fast and good looking to pull these off next year!! Best hit the gym and buy some motovudo DVD thingy's ey
Hate to say it James but I was a sylph like 9 stones dripping wet until I had a bad injury to my ankle 15 years ago and was 12 weeks flat on my arse. The whole thing triggered some lard arse gene to flick on and within 6 months I was 12 1/2 stones. It stayed that way until this summer and my little problem when I got put on a temporary fat free diet. Saturday morning I weighed myself and saw the number 10. Didn't know it was on our scales. I've not cut down on beer, wine or sugar, just everything I eat has to be 3% fat or less, so no butter, fatty meat, chocolate, crisps and the like. Still eat like a horse but I shed a stone in a week while I was in hospital and it's been creeping down as my body's consuming it's own fat. So that's my recommendation.
Have just started back out on my mountain bike to lose weight, will cycle for a month first then start running also and alternate between the two, hour sessions for each, takes 30 min exercise for the body to get to fat burning stage and people often put a little weight on before losing it because the muscles start to bulk up before they train longer then burn the fat
GOD GOOD IM DOOMED!!! my only saving grace is I think that gene you talk about was triggered at birth
