If they are in doubt about being able to do you for speeding they can just slap a Section 59 on you. Who needs evidence in this day and age
That is probably true of beat plod as they are not regarded as experts and their vehicles are not fitted with callobrated speedo heads nor are they traind to use speed recording/detection equipment
