Only car or bike I have had that I miss is my 95 Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield race rep. Loved that bike and wish I never sold it. Best one they made! Mind you, never liked a car as much as the one I got now
Impressed with all those that can remember every car/bike they have owned, wish I could. Mine runs in tens of each, but current is a tuned TTS and 14 plate Blade Car I miss most is my M3, real heart and soul motors
Only miss one car (technically a van) a Dodge Ram250 Dayvan. had to go due to shite mpg (7-10mpg) and overloading my credit card. But on the bike front Id love to have my 1988 RD350 YPVS, my first new bike on finance at 18yrs old. And now I'm an old fart Id love to have the Honda CL250s back for the winter!
Yeah, but BMWs seem quite popular too, redeeming the forum's credibility a little. I totally forgot to list my fave car... a BMW E30 325i Coupe, with naff-as-you-like aftermarket M-Sport conversion, consisting of side-skirts so wide you struggled to get in/out the car with any dignity, springs so "chopped" they did nothing, and a rear "spoiler" that seemed to be made out of roughly-chiselled packaging foam. It had a 1000W sound system, and green neon under-lights (the car was bright red!!!). Further, the neons could be linked to the sound-system and configured to pulse with the bass-line...... now that is pure class and sophistication, if ever there was! The engine had been ported/gas-flowed, fitted with K&N, and tuned... it was quite quick, and was like driving a go-cart... however I could run over a coin in the road, and tell whether it was heads-up or tails-up by the shape of the resultant bruise on my arse. Finally met the big scrapyard in the sky after half the bulkhead crumbled into the passenger footwell...... turned out the electronics to control the neons had been fitted to the bulkhead, and the mounting screws had pierced the windscreen gutter. Ahhhhh, memories
In the astra photo you can see the gti6 beside it. We went about 130 miles from home to buy the gti6 and my brother came with us and we all went up in the astra. On the journey home my brother drove the astra back and i was in the 306. Everytime i got close to him he just booted the gte and i just couldnt keep up! Then the thoughts go thru your head what have i done lol spent over £6k on the 306 and that old astra just made it look slow. Cant beat the old school stuff!!
One car I do wish I kept my RB5 WRSport No.017 RB5 by N_Collins, on Flickr RB5 by N_Collins, on Flickr
I miss the old Audi S4.. had a Milltek Exhaust on her.. the V8 sounded epic! Amazing to think that the new A6 3.0 Diesel I have now is probably as fast as that old girl! Its just the drama I miss.. the noise mostly.. don't miss dodging the potholes in those 20" R8 alloys though..
Gilesy thats sweet love the sprint blue. This is my current ride but when the day comes that it has to go i,ll be gutted. sorry about the cut down photo,s
cheers !.. got to say sod being sensible sometimes and just go for whatever you fancy. i aint rich by any means but, being a mechanic i can save a fortune on running these motors by fixing them myself.
