?Well looks to me like the winter weather has arrived.. Was out Sunday in the sun and actually got on a bit of a downer as had a feeling this could be the last decent day Whos planning to pull there bikes off the road to start upgrades / cleaning this winter and when you going to start? Im going to strip mine a little remove the engine and have the valve clearances and gear box checked over and also give it a good clean up, also want a HM dash when its goes back together! Will hold off just yet though see what the weather does.. Perhaps start 1st Nov.. Whats your winter plans?
At last, hopefully start to clear the roads of these fecking Piaggio 3 wheeler scooter commuters...just need a nice long winter now for some scooter free commuting roads
Got my race bike to break for parts and an engine to fix. Then shopping for a race blade for next year!!
My plan is to ride as often as I can, even when it's cold and wet. The PR4's are great and have given me much more confidence in the wet. I can now ride at a much better pace which makes it far more enjoyable. Just had the suspension re-done last week and bike was serviced a couple of months ago so all is good. In March, I am hoping to change my rearsets (again) this time I think I will go for Lightec ones. Will also get a Gilles shift support and a quickshifter fitted.
I have been thinking about this for ages now but can't make my mind up on a paint scheme. It's a lot of money spent if it doesn't turn out how you hoped.Luckily I have a spare set of fairings so will get those sprayed, I can then change back again if I want. Apparently some insurers can be a bit tricky about custom paint jobs so I will have to check that out as well.
Noooooo! Don't say that. I've not managed to get out for the past couple of nice weekends (bloody kids and their football matches!). So I'm hoping for one last decent ride of 2014. Come on SUN - you can do it!!!
I am going to have my first winter with no riding. Normally I'll have a bike for winter, but I'm selling my Tiger 1050 and still deliberating over whether to keep the blade, and currently they are both cleaned and put away... so looks like winter will be without a bike. Currently I am still buying stuff for the blade to get ready for Spring 2015, so I'll probably keep it. I think. Either way, hoping there will be another couple of nice sunny weekend mornings to entice me out on the blade before properly putting it away or selling it. Here's to hoping anyway.
Will be working away from home so riding in the week has ended the same time as the weather changes, and has it changed today or what. Could have got out yesterday but had too much today and stayed in bed too long in the morning. If this is the end of the season at least we have had a decent one this year.
Weather bad up here and noticeably colder, between work and holidays it would be November before I get a chance to go out again. So next decent ish day it's clean time then up on the abba stand for the winter. Plenty of time to fit an HM GP,hopefully new E seat and some titanium/stainless bits. Oooo shiny shiny
I will be out sometimes on dry days . Going to upgrade my forks , maybe K-Tec or Fire Fox Racing Ohlins rebuild and a HM Racing Plus SS quickshifter .The bike season maybe nearly over but Snowboarding an night mountain biking start's Yay !!!
I plan to bang some pr4's on the triumph for some sunny winter day bimbles.... But main priority is getting my leg sorted (more about waiting than anything) and getting the blade ready so it's sitting there waiting for next season. Instead of a mental rush.... Got few things inc exhaust to sort out for scrutineering plus I want to put some internals in, bang the pcv on and get it dyno'd and look at few little crash damage items and maybe ANOTHER set of fairings sprayed up Van needs some tlc too but plan is to concentrate on getting it all sorted by jan so I can concentrate on then getting myself ready for next season. In reality ill be running round like a lunatic week before 1st round as per usual. Personally though, been a great year, ups and downs, pretty full on, and 1st time ever I'm not actually fussed by the winter lay off (not that I ever have one tbh) will no doubt feel diff in a few weeks after no bike time
