I was just at my local shopping park and witnessed a car hit another car while parking. They made no effort at all to leave any details, wandered off to the shops, came back about 5 minutes later and just drove off.

Presumably they'll be thinking they got away with it but they'll be getting another think coming 'cos I left my details on the damaged car and have just spoken to the owner to give them the other car's details.

What's wrong with people these days!!!???

I just can't believe people are so lacking in morals that they'll try to do a sneaky. I don't think it'd even occur to me for a second.

Nice one Bororich, nice to see someone else who cares about such things.

In all honesty I have always been cynical of the behaviour of people in general (although there are some decent people out there) but in recent years I have become increasingly alarmed by the downturn in decent behaviour.

Last week a learner driver in a Driving School vehicle pulled out across me causing me to do an emergency stop and only just avoiding colliding. The Driving Instructor laughed, as did the learner and they just drove on. No sign of any apology or anything, they both thought it was funny.

Look at local disabled bays and family bays at supermarkets, people just park where they want regardless, no-one gives a toss anymore, well very few.

I know exactly what you mean, mate.

Seems like looking out only for yourself is more and more the done thing these days.

I wouldn't care so much if they hadn't noticed that they'd done it but I had my door open and could hear them talking about it. The wife was driving and the husband was telling her that she needs to pay more attention and she was having a go at him saying that it was a really tight spot to get into. He then got out, walked round to the other car to inspect the damage, looked around to see if anyone was paying attention and then they let their daughter out of the back of the car and wandered off to the shops like nothing had happened.

I wanted to say something but I didn't think it would be the best course of action considering they had a kid with them as I'm sure it'd have got heated.

It's a bugbear of mine when I see sloppy driving instructors, I personally disagree with them being allowed to teach when they've got points on their licence, but I suppose it's a human right to be able to earn a living, but some of their actions are shocking, and the number who don't seem to realise they can't use the phone whilst instructing is amazing.

i saw a bitch hit a car in a supermarket, she drove off and parked the car elsewhere so i went into the store and got them to put out the reg number of the car she had hit over the store tannoy .
the SAME woman came up and thanked me for letting her know that someone had hit "HER" car (obviously hoping i wouldn't recognise her)
needless to say she soon scarpered before the real owner turned up .

Forgot to mention. 2 years ago the wife came up to see me while I was at my mums place. Mum lives in a cul de sac. lots of room to park and loads more room to do a u turn. the wife parks outside my mums, no other cars parked yet 2 doors up the old gent! decides to revers out of his long drive and hit the wifes car. Does not stop, drives off and when we come out notice the drivers wing, lights and smashed in, feecker. no idea at the time who did it but asked the neighbours if they seen anything and the only thing we knew was that the only person who had left the area was 2 doors up. 4 hours later after trying to work out who did it and about to call the police with regards to a hit and run. OK no damage but still I was going to inform them about this and he turned up. So thought I would ask did he hit a car and he admitted he did. I was not pleased. got the details and it went through insurance.

He said as he did not know who's car it was that he just drove off. No letter on the screen nothing. bastard.

When his insurance phoned I had great pleasure in informing them I would not like to use them to fix my car and will be taking it to a place I want it to be fixed. Plus I did inform them he hit the wife's and drove off. and that I was about to call the police just before we found out it was him.

he never drove after. No idea if he struggled to get insurance after or he just thought it was about time he did not drive.

even people you know for 20 years will damage your cars and try and get out of it

Our local mega Tescos has the 'mother and children' bays wrapped around the building itself so you need to squeeze yourself past them just to get to your own car. Because they've got the wider bays and 'door wide open gaps' between each one, they're always suspiciously full of Range Rovers...

Aren't they all supposed to be shopping at Waitrose...

There's another odd interpretation of the rules I've noticed there too. Parking Prohbited bays and bus stop bays. There is a predeliction for a couple of demographics (the Biffer and the Hassled Husband) that believe that if they sit in the car with the engine running for half an hour while their loved ones/carers 'nip in for something I forgot', they're not actually parked...

I had to pop into Waitrose on the way home last night, only for a bunch of flowers (right beside the doors) and even though it was pissing down and the car park was chockkers I cruised right to the far corner to park responsibly.

Then I sent Jeanette back to get them.

I had an elderly gent pull up outside my shop and ran his Toyota into a brand new Hyundai. He straightened it up and went into the post office next door.He came out with his pension and backed out without saying a word.I ran out and stopped him driving off,he asked why and I said you drove into that car.No I didn't he said and got out.I showed him his red paint on the yellow car and her paint on his.I found the lady owner in the hairdressers and she told us it was two days old. They exchanged details etc.It turned out he had No licence, tax, mot nor insurance. He paid for the work in cash.I got a bottle of scotch for my vigilance.Watch out folks they are about.
