im still looking into a new blade next year but just cant seem to let go of my current zx6 as its plenty quick enough for mainly my commute,it handles like its on rails and it's really cheap to run/maintain. does anyone have any experience of a very high milage 600cc(40k+) or know of anyone who has? is there any reason it shouldn't do that sort of milage as i want l run this bike as long as i can so i dont hammer the blade to bad early on cheers
thats what im thinking martin! it has 24k on it at the moment and runs with no problems at all just thinking about what could be coming up
Sorry thought I read it had done 40k, may be worth selling but if you want to keep a new blade nice for a while you may aswell keep it, insured my 2nd bike for 1p last year
I have read stories of people with Blackbirds that have been round the clocks twice or more. OK that's a bigger engine and a Honda. I also know of some CBR600Fs which are into the 70k+ range and still going strong as everyday bikes.
Mate, before switching to Blades I had multiple 600s, CBRs and ZXRs. Nearly all went north of 50+K with zero issues to really note other than the usual consumables, odd CCT and inevitable crash damage commuting eventually picks up. Most were toured and tracked as well. The days when you tracked and went to work on it the next day on shagged tyres.
