    That one's quite a clever exposure, actually Mike (unless you've got a 5D of course). The one of the boiler house is using an effect called HDR (High Dynamic Range). A real Marmite and, in my opinion, massively over used one, consisting of taking several pictures at different exposures and laying them on top of each other so that shadows and highlights are are visible.

    Wish I had the skill to attempt photos like these ,to the trained eye like yours you can obviously spot different styles and touch up jobs but for the casual observer it's all good.:D
