took the carbon beastie to bits to fit my GP shifter.. only to find the loom up from the guys at HM doesn't fit. No big deal, I've a list as long as my arm for doing to the bike now we are off season anyway. I fitted some heat shielding material under the subframe after fitting the Ti Arrow exhaust, changed the oil and filter (after my track day at Knockhill recently) and changed the front sprocket to an AFAM one. I had a new 15 tooth one on the front for Knockhill anyway, but since I have my front sprocket cover opened up, I prefer the look of the AFAM ones with the holes through the sides.. purely aesthetic as the gold one is brand new! Anyways.. done now. Started the big clean as well, but only got as far as the chain and the back wheel... the Carbon is shining again :) Roll on the new loom for the shifter :):)

How do you keep your chain so clean as every chain I've ever had has gone dirty and rusty. Am I using the wrong lube or just not cleaning it often enough?

I try and clean it every second run.. just some chain cleaner and a rag.. then spray on the dry chain lube.. 5 mins work :) (bike only out 2-3 times a month usually)

Thanks. Maybe if I start doing that when I fit my new chain it'll last for once.

Finished fitting Yoshi slip on today, not to hard to fit, a little fiddly but it went well. Fired her up and no warning lights, sounded good, going to take her for a spin tomorrow as never had a chance today.

Got a new Series IV chain and Squire lock from the kind people at Almax, as there have been a few garages broken into around me by some scrotes.

    Test run new Yoshi

IMG_0983.jpg View attachment 26777 config]26776[/attach] IMG_0983.jpg View attachment 26777 Went for test run today, bike felt good and ran perfect, no hunting or flaws. Money well spent and would recomend. Baffel still in as i wasn't sure how noisy it was going to be, a nice deep growl better than standard but not to loud. Think i'll leave it in for now , anyways :)
Sorry if same pic appears twice i couldnt find out how to delete one.
