I had something similar when I T boned my Ducati. Slightly different position. Imagine sports bike humped fuel tank, goolies, sudden stop. No pictures you'll be glad to hear.
Don't have any pictures but in the same accident I had that from arse to shoulder with 3 broken ribs and boy did it hurt.
4 months not allowed any weight.. then about 3 months to learn to walk again Never got any plaster on though!
now and then.. just some aches really.. and down have the same articulation that the right foot has, but pretty much normal. how about you?
Me I'm stuffed for life to be honest, clicks and seizes up, arthritis already will only get worse from here but just got to make the most of it while I can lol
when I broke the foot in 2004, I took anti-arthritis tablets for 6 months.. no idea if they made any difference but so far, so good!
Not showing off but 5 year ago broke both my heels in climbing accident, 30 foot fall to ground. No screws or plate just left to heal on their owe for 4 months, was great to get out of the wheel chair in the end and walk again. Found walking ok on the flat but down hill was a killer for the first month of walking.
its no fun. My surgeon (I was living in Malaysia) said my heal was so badly smashed, he needed to cut a lump of bone out of my pelvis and screw it into place with a few of the left over bits.. so a 6" scar on my left hip as well as the foot lol.. he said its the worst bone in your body to break bar your neck and back..
I use these to help with my heel arthritis and they seem to work ok for me. http://www.healthspan.co.uk/arthritis-care/joint-synergex
I was told the same about worst bone to break but because of a 2 1/2 week delay before seeing specialist, postal strike and our wonderful Welsh NHS, consultant told me it was too late to operate and they would badly smashed (i.e. Hard boiled egg dropped onto hard surface) his example, they were left as is. Apart from the arthritis after a day standing/walking at work, walking is ok except were the ground is uneven but the special inner sole the NHS made for me help.
just shows how "lucky" i was breaking it abroad with access to the surge 24hrs a day. Hilariously.. 6 weeks after the op, I went in to see him for a check-up and x-ray and he noticed my right foot big toe had a red inflamed part at the toe nail. He asked me if it was painful and i replied a little.. he picked up the phone and phoned surgery and told them he would be down in 5 mins.. and whipped out an ingrown toe nail I had! the joys of private medical care.. £26 later, I was on my way home haha..
Bike Accident in Italy Broke both bones in the right leg..2 months on still recovering...bike is fine.. Operated in Italy, caught MRSA, and the device fitted in the Fracture Site - Operated in London BMI, estimate 4 months before the device can be removed. Could not walk for a month because of the infection. Started walking with 1 crutch 4-5 days back, and some other basic exercises .. Its been difficult, but coping well i think.. Some pics, including some of the gruesome infection..
