Removing loom , ecu and locket and barrel

    Hi all. I'm expecting my bike to arrive this week and she will be undergoing some track prep over winter.. (Nutty tarts)The bikes already got. A lot of gear on which has given me a great start.. I'm planning on running a kit loom and ecu so I'll be removing the old one.. Has any one any experience in the following
    - Removing ecu and loom
    - removing lock set and ignition barrel
    -removing hesd and stopping any faults
    - removing side stand and not getting any faults

    Any help or info will be really appreciated

    Ref the steering damper you can get servo replacement modules on ebay for the standard loom dunno if needed for the kit loom

    I have no idea what trackbike you have at the moment Daz as I can't keep track of all your buying and selling :D

    On my blade I kept the stock ECU but removed the ignition and wired in to the engine stop so that became my on/off and located the key along with the hiss ring under the tank so I had keyless starts but with stock ecu .

    Removing side stand was straight forward just connect the 2 wires together that go to that and no fault codes not sure if stock ecu is a route you want to go but that's what I did anyway with stock.

    Oh and also a aim solo laptimer fits perfectly where the ignition was mounted using the 2 exact holes that held the ignition in place if that's something you wanted but knowing you you will have a hm dash .:D

    Hrc ecu will be able to cancel a lot of things like hesd won't it. If not eBay a plug

    Cheers for that boys.. The sawn one I had had the key under the tank and used the stop start for on and off. I may look at this and save the pennies from a loom and ecu for a er hm dash lol.. It's defo on the way.. I saw your laptimes on the blade on your eBay add today when I looked at your engine jase..I didn't plan on buying Nuttys but I couldn't resist with the bits on.. I only bought one last week for a winter project but luckily my mates bought it off me :) he bid me in the nuts with it aswell lol...

    Will look into the hesd resistor sps if I keep stand loom and ecu

    Was it easy to wire into the switch jase? How you getting on with the Beamer mate

    Yeah there's no connector for the hesd on the kit loom.. Doubt the kit ecu will even know what it is lol

    The hesd can be bypassed with one of these, just use it to bridge over the terminals and the ECU will still think its the damper that's using the power and keep the light off.........but I have heard that honda's hesd is the best OEM damper fitted as standard to bikes and can compete with some of the cheaper aftermarket stuff if you wanted to save some money and see how you like the OEM on track.

    I didn't wire the switch I let my local garage do it but it was simple enough about an hours labour .

    Bmw yeah good I am off to Jerez 6th Nov for 3 days on track so fitted a QAT changed the gearing as its been on road gearing since I tracked it so gone -1/+2 see how that is will take another rear sprocket (+1) with me as it's a perfect time to play around with the bike when I have 3 days to do it:D

    It's in kais at the moment getting these fitted as well:D

    Wasn't planned my bike went in for ohlins internals and turns out the right fork leg there is a bush at the top this was dislodged and bent basically making the right fork fecked and as time was against me decided to get new forks and will sell the 2 sets of forks I have once repaired to recoup some of the money .

    I've bought a gpr 4 damper shinyside up.. I needed a bit more from the damper last time I was on track with the Oem to be honest.. Absolutely fine for the road but the hesd damper plus no lock stops nearly ended in tears at donnigton a few years ago

    I will do mate cheers.. Got my ss shifter to fit,picked up a hrc subframe today and hoping my damper will land tomoz :)

    They look awesome mate.. Well done! You'll have a blast in Spain . We fly to Valencia a week Friday for the last round of the moto gp so you may not be the fastest in Spain that weekend :)

    I was thinking the same about you chefs you have Daz who replaces motorbikes when they get a bit of dust on :D and you who have how many bikes 3-4 .

    Me I just have the one and I suppose it's like a spoilt child you want it to have the best.:D

    Infact most people on here I know have 2- 3-4 bikes so I have a lot of catching up to do.

    Kais did say to me did you have problems turning in on right handers due to the right forks leg been fecked " feck yeah I said" and there was me thinking running of line and missing the odd apex was lack of talent when it was my bikes fault all along.:D

    I've had my sp1 that I bought off Brian for 2 and a half months so I'm doing well lol.. Your bm is getting the best gear and rightly so. You work hard for it so enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing wht these carbon fibre wheels feel like . I've never ridden on them so should be an eye opener.. I think scooby is after a superbike to use some of his loose change up
