Just booked a cheeky 3 nighter up to the North Yorkshire Moors in early May. Staying near Pickering. If anyone knows some good roads/routes/runs up that way, please PM me.

I was in Iceland last year. They think Kerry Katona is the queen, you know.

I did a 2 nighter down to Devon in May with 3 of my 'more sensible' biking/ex.colleague chums. Had a great time, so we decided we'd definitely do it again in 2012 & threw around a couple of locations.

Totally out of the blue today, I got an email from my mate Mark at 1:24pm to say that he'd done some research & found an ideal base to stay at for the trip & we should definitely do North Yorks (he either wants to check out the steam trains or flamingo land - not sure which).

At 1:34pm I got another email from him to say the offer was too good to pass up (3 Stars, Double room each, Brekkie included & secure bike parking for 150 per person for 3 nights), so he's booked it & we better book the days off work.

I called him this even & he'd already worked out the scenic route there & plumbed it in to him sat nav.

    Looks like I'm going!

Just bought a Veho Muvi Pro for the bike (another 'maverick' purchase from the shadow account Mrs V doesn't know about). Will be fitting that for sure.

My other half is getting too good at spotting "shadow" purchases so it's vitually a "black ops stlyeee" operation nowadays.......))))

Your mission should you decide to accept it etc etc etc ...........

pretty easy for me as we have seperate accounts and luckily we dont have to budget too hard (no kids) so she aint on my case... but if im worried about deliveries because i've been going wild on ebay and i cant pass off new tyres (cheers craig) as a christmas parcel for her, they get sent straight to my bro's office! all his staff know the score and sign for me! ha ha

think im soooo clever... but no doubt what she gets passed me from bluewater is ten times worse!!!

Mrs V is a 'Housewife' (although her housewifery skills are somewhat lacking), so we've got joint bloody everything.

I managed to hold on to a separate account under the justification that I didn't want to mix personal expenditure & business expenses for work...so expenses get paid in the there & they pay off the work credit card. Simples. And ALWAYS have your maverick purchases delivered to work or a mates house (who's Mrs isn't friends with yours).

On a serious note, Mrs V is cool with it. when she pipes up, I just mearly imply she might use her free time between 9am & 3pm every day to get a part time job. She still refuses.

Been sitting here giggling at your post mate, you ain't doing so bad looking at that long list of bling you've got on your bike lol. I remember years ago buying a Flying Jacket, paid £350 for it, told the wife I bought it off a mate for £50. When she saw it she said "He saw you coming".
