Has anyone got this replaced for free as a recall in the UK? I see on line in the US honda seem to fix it for free no problem but i cant find anyone from the UK having the same luck
Have you adjusted a balance shaft before ? If so.......you know what to do but if not! , get someone who,s done it before. It sounds like it's to tight so I,d opt for backing off in the first instance. Good luck
I think (could be wrong ) if it's the balance shaft the noise comes more from the other side not the clutch side
Update . . I rang honda Ireland today gave them the frame number they rang me back saying the bike was out of warranty and there is no recall on the bike so no joy . So i rang honda uk gave them the frame number same thing no recall and was told to ring my local honda dealer. Rang Honda dealer in Belfast got talking to the guy and told him about the noise , he said they have a 09 blade in with the same problem and honda wont fix it !So back on to honda uk told them the bike is no longer under warranty and that it was a know fault and would honda stand over the bike ? I was told they would contact me within a few days bout i am not holding out much hope for a positive result
Yea mate not impressed at all !! I was a big honda fan for a long time cars bikes etc . . but the way they treat their customers when they have a problem is a joke ! I had a honda accord last year DPF filter went first £1200 then the power steering rack had play in it (common fault again) Was given a price on just under £2000 to fix that so just sold the car as i was feed up at that stage The abs problem with the blades etc . . Rant over
i had honda bikes all my life and honda civic s breaks my heart taht honda does not treat right sometimes i bought a diesel civic went to Cornwall and clutch slipped took back to dealer and they said after test ride they can not get it to slip but actually there is 1000s of user who had the same problem but no joy from Honda had problem with sub frame bushes they took in and sprayed some oil i still have honda car and 2 honda motorbikes but my next destination can be bmw despite service costs i think i like the way 1000rr looks
I will also be looking else were when I change the bike . I have a honda s2000 and accord type r Always drove a honda but my daily driver is a 530d bmw now and I will never buy another honda .
