Glad to hear matey, and I know there are lots like you that were there when they dropped down and stuck it through the dark days, it was aimed at the prawn sandwich brigade that is infesting every moderately successful club and forcing prices up at the same time.

PL has become a commodity not a sport now.

Its my 44th season at Upton Pk and for that loyalty I have been rewarded to 2 fecking FA Cup wins (thankfully there for both of them)..........better returns on the Euro Millions. Still my poor kids had no choice and there is a good chance they will be drawing their pensions before we win anything else.

Has anyone seen the Stirling booking ( Liverpool Chelsea) the poor sod was pole axed by Ramires with a monster punch and some how the ref booked the wrong player.

Ok we head into the International break (when did we first start using that term?) after 11 games played all round.

Another depressing win for Chelski, just marching away to the PL title unhindered, the only thing close about Liverpool and Chelski was the score, everything thing else is worlds apart ....sorry readers but its all about playing for the minor places now, the only team that can stop Chelski is themselves.

Saints go marching on, cementing 2nd place with an expected win over the Foxes. Now that's made me look a bit deeper at Sotons run so far. They really have not played the big boys yet, and that's discounting their games against Liverpool and The Hotspuds, neither are big teams, just have pretensions to be big teams, but they lost both, their only 2 PL defeats this season. But they have only shipped 5 goals in 11 matches, so tight at the back, but they will have tougher challenges ahead which makes me lean towards they are only going lower in the table come the New Year. Another interesting stat is no matter what Koeman says about cultured football, they are taking the direct route, 87 hoof balls last week and another 78 this week, hardly the stuff of total football, but the 2 games have yielded a max 6 points, so if it ain't broke don't fix it I guess.

Citeh are going flat out to prove they really are struggling for form, 8 points behind Chelski and not looking likely to scare anyone any time soon, surely so many quality players cannot keep under performing week in week out, Pelligrini must be checking the situations vacant list a bit more closely now then at any other time during his stewardship.

West Ham climb back into the CL postions with a draw against the lacklustre Villa, pointless in the previous 6.
It was nice to hear normal service resume at the Boleyn ground, with just 30 seconds on the clock the first heart warming rendition of 'We hate Millwall' rang out around the stadium, so sadly absent during the Citeh match 2 weeks ago.
Then we were feasted to an 11 man defensive wall for 90 minutes with the odd break away, and something akin to the a siege at the Alamo, with Brad Guzon doing an expert impression of John Wayne and fighting off any shot that came his way, with one notable miracle save deep into added on time.
I was surprised that the Hammers could not break down this 11 man blockage, as Big Fat Sam has been an expert in building similar defences over the years, so surely he must know how to take them apart again.

Looking grim at the bottom, Hulls implosion of form was well and truly cemented by a defeat at Turf Moor, the Clarets gaining their first PL victory of the season.

But its all looking rather familiar down there, and the relegation dog fight is well and truly on.

Now last week JV showed some frustration that I did not trumpet the Hotspuds come from behind win by dubious means against the footballing superpower going by the name of Aston Villa, and to be fair after weeks of bigging up the Spuds up they were going in the opposite direction, so here we go

    'Come on you Spurs'

and yes this week they faced another footballing superpower down at The Lane.........Stoke City........unfortunately they did not read Jimbos script and they choked.......just an average mid table PL team.

Now looking back a few months The Pooch did the dirty on Soton and upped sticks and left for a big club in North London, causing a tidal wave behind him and several so called 'stars' to leave Soton on the brink. So far for all of them the grass was not greener on the other side and The Pooch made the mistake a lot of foreign tourists make in London, and did not gen up on his A to Z enough.............Pooch, the only big team in North London play in N7 not N17, simple mistake mate, even London cabbies get it wrong some times.

    And the rest?

Steady as they go....well as usual they will be fighting to not fall into the relegation dogfight and end up in a nice safe mid table finish so they can sit back at the top table again next season and play with the gravy train, whilst their employees on the playing side and their employees agents get fatter and fatter by the day.

Surprise stat of the week... Ronald Koeman being interviewed on Saturday stated that the International break is always a worry, players go off and you wonder how many will come back injured and Soton have 17 players away on International duty.....................................17!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe 2nd place in the PL is not so surprising, not even sure Chelski, Arsene All and Citeh have 17 International players away.

Saints do not hoof I was there play across the mid-field the only hoof comes when the wing backs get forward and play the ball into the box yes we have not played the so called big boys but other than Chelsea not so big any more.
Beat Gunners in the cup yes 17 away real mix as at most clubs Japan Italy England France Senegal Kenyan Ireland Scotland Slovakia under no illusions we will drop down but enjoying it while it lasts plus all the youngsters coming through mostly English which can only help our national side just booked Man utd let's see who got the right Dutchman. We don't just buy success we breed it we march on. Where's all our players gone no melt down we are staying up !

Week 12 in the bag....for non footie fans, don't moan about football, the players, the wages etc etc, just jog on to another thread that you have an interest in. ;)

Chelski, PL Champions in waiting, will they go undefeated?, unlikely as the CL takes priority.

1/3 of the way through the season and Soton chasing them down, who would have believed that, the Cruise Liner City works team come good, still not had a hard run against the Big 4 yet so we will see.

Citeh grinding it out, still in there but need Chelski to implode.

The Toons recovery is remarkable, Pardew really will believe he is God Almighty reincarnated when he wins Manager of the month, but that normally brings with it the curse, and lets be honest they have played a few stiffs in the 5 game sequence, again on watch.

The mighty Pool drag that once proud name through even deeper depths of mud, oh yes you really are the definition of a 1 man team, unfortunately he jumped ship and joined an 11 man ensemble, only 4 points off the relegation zone and 2nd best team on Merseyside.

Hammers slipped out of the top 4 with a regulation defeat to The Toffees, now here's a story, the Hammers have a new found problem, International quality players, 4 of them injured in the International break, a new problem for BFS, in recent years having only Championship grade stiffs in the squad, it's not been a problem, in fact the only injuries normally picked up during an International break, are the VIP suite hostess girls falling off their 6" stilettos in some sleazy nightclub in Smallsville Essexshire whilst dancing around their handbags.

Gooners, oh dear oh dear, yet again only thing left to play for are the minor CL places, how longs Wenger got? Mancs defence is grim and being packed with kids, but still took the Gooners until trash time to stick one in the net.

Somehow the Mancs have ghosted into the top 4, not an indication of any quality, but more just what a mixed up PL season this is.

Great news in the basement, Burnley confound the pundits and me by winning 2 on the spin, could see the Hull victory as they have imploded, but taking the Potters in the windiest stadium in England, wish I would had put my pony in that one. I can only imagine the crunch squad of enforcers in red and white desperately kicking lumps out of anything that resembled a claret and blue shirt trying to get back on even terms.

QPR and our friend 'Arry...going down my friends, back to where you belong, its going to be a slow painful death. The only glimmer of hope is a Austin and Zamora goalfest, but can't see Bobby being able to run around for 38 games at his age and stay injury free. You can't survive long in the Prem with a lone Ranger up front.

The Foxes 2 points out of 21 and Hull 5 out of 21.........the Diame effect has worn off, like everywhere else he plays, he will give them no more than 20 mins in 90 and still bank his pay cheque.

Just for Jimbo, yer team are on a up crest this week, but they are up and down as fast as a whores draws, so don't get carried away yet.

Last thought, not the PL, but I take my hat off to Citeh last night, fighting for survival, and pulling it off against zee Germans, interesting that without Yaya they looked to have a bit more motor in them and all without their family Silva playing, was a gutsy performance and so nice to see that smug smile wiped off of Neuers face.

Well, despite the 'Ref' ignoring a stonewall penalty and then compounding his blunder by Yella carding Aguero for alleged diving, City comprehensively outclassed Southampton.

Even down to 10 men they scored another 2 goals then saw the game out with 9 players!

    Never mind eh Wozza! [IMG]

LvG is unhappy with having to work over Christmas despite his multi million pound pay cheque. Spare a thought for the poor buggers on the minimum wage in retail outlets.

Man up you Dutch pussy, it's what makes the difference between the PL and yer sissy Euro leagues that have to take a few weeks off in the winter.
