Hi guys, I know I haven't been around a lot, but this is a genuine call out for some help from my brothers. I have been working as a HSE Supervisor for the last few years and I had to resign from my job and come back to the UK because of my Dad being ill. The company has refused to help me so I quit. I now need to find a job in the UK , in the short term to pay me a wage, but I really need to find a job in HSE in the UK. I could do with "Something" to help bring a wage in for now but any help any of you can give would be very very much appreciated. I thank you all in advance and hope you can help. Have a look at the Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) website at SSE plc - The UK's broadest-based energy company They cover the whole of the UK and have a large health and Safety department. I worked for them for a while and they were a good firm to work for, and before anyone asks why did I leave if they were that good, I was headhunted and offered twice the salary I was on with SSE at the time so it was a bit of a no brainer. But I would happily go back to them for the right money.
One option could be for a commercial insurance company, they may have a need for those with good hse skills to help companies they insure to reduce risk of claims. Which part of the country are you in and are you able to travel or relocate. Also are you on linked in? If not get yourself on their and link to former colleagues and on your profile state looking for opportunities. Good luck with search, the petroleum industry (Aberdeen) could be another option to investigate.
