Wow lovely bike but not sure it's worth half what they are asking for! I do wonder how they come up with prices sometimes
Back in the day. Friend of mine had one new, sold it quick, Bloody thing nearly killed him. Not the best for the twisties! Mike.
HOW MUCH!!!!!!! My mates Uncle had a Harris Turbo CBX1000. Supposedly good for 180MPH???!!! Look at those single pot brakes up front. I bet the Titanic stopped quicker.

I do remember sitting at work reading MCN with the first pictures of it and everyone, absolutely everyone honestly believed it was going to be a game changer and all other super bikes would be obsolete over night. But we used to dress like this in 1978 too... And Honda seemed just as embarrassed of their sartorial faux pas as Si must be when he went into his wardrobe. Nobody expected him to still be wearing it today...
I can see the resemblance with the Ginga in the 3rd picture Ken. Like a lot of 70s / 80s bikes, they are a lot better now than then. I was offered a Z1A for £20,000 by a solicitor with more money than sense. That became £10,000 3 weeks later. All these bikes are toys for rich idiots, not meant to be ridden nowadays.
I aspired to be more like this in 1978... Alas, it was more like this... You are (sort of) right though (can't let you be completely right, you old git), as said in another post, kit of this era are deathtraps ridden in the style we've become cosseted by modern bikes. Fun for a pootle, but wayward when stopping or going in other than a straight line (or as with the aforementioned Z1, in a straight line too.).
Had one of these myself back in the day was on a X plate, the "c" model with fairing and panniers. Travelled everywhere on it South of France and Spain. Smooth as silk but when shifting on down the motorway it would empty the tank around (5 gallons) in 125 miles.
looks like it has an ABS sensor on the front, thats enough to keep most people away.... (yes i do know it isn't before some smart arse pops up..)

I had a Z1000. It only weaved in corners. It was arrow straight in a line. The tyres did used to go down though if you went over 130. I never did sort that out lol
