Worst thing is they will now cause the tracks to be more restrictive with access. So gone will be the days of rolling up on your bike and getting it parked close to the pits on event days. You will need all kinds of badges and passes now no doubt.... A shame
I see they're from Tonbridge as well my ex was from Tonbridge and she was a f**k**g bitch as well says it all really..
i don't do facebook.......but im tempted to join just to post what a complete prick that kid and his mate is............ just the perfect excuse to beat the living daylights out of someone..... and have a valid excuse for relieving tension......!
stupid tossers are going to make future races more security happy Hope the guy gets a lifetime ban from circuits, track days etc....
The bloke got 8 months inside today. BBC News - Brands Hatch rogue driver Jack Cottle jailed for eight months
Personally think that's harsh when people nick cars / bikes and burgle people and get away with a slap on the wrists! End of the day it was private property and nobody stopped him joining the track, no signs etc. He's a complete dick without question but 8 months inside and a criminal record.
Was pretty much going to type exactly that.... Catch a junkie with concrete evidence who's robbed your mums house, they get a suspended sentence, help with their drug additions and their identity protected!!! It's bonkers....
well you have to start somewhere, so let it be here, glad the tw*t got prison, wish more did, but yeah, lets be thankful for little mercies and by the way, people do get prison for the things you mentioned already, agreed some don't
Twat ruining a sport knicking cars and bikes Burglary etc etc The correct legal action should be SHOTGUNNED! im so fed up with our wimped out law enforcement...too much compassion. Sorry I can't help it
I saw this too earlier on the news. I was speaking with my friend who was in the race and he is very pleased with the the sentence. He wanted to see how cocky the guys face looked as he was lead through the gates to spend some time at Her Majesty's pleasure.
fook me, he drove a car on a track that is made for cars to drive on….and he didn't pay an entry fee to do it….does that warrant 8 months in prison ? i don't think so. Does anyone remember when you used to be allowed to have a bit of fun in this country ? To coin a land rover phrase "one life , live it."
I don't think it was just about driving a car onto the track. He did it during a live race that put others on track at risk, he also put the occupants of his car at risk and he did it against the expressed wishes of his passengers and the female owner of the car so he was effectively holding them captive and subjecting them to it. This was all taken into account when sentencing him. Would it seem so harsh if he had collided with a race car and someone was seriously injured? But I definitely agree that people get off with worse crimes than this but that's a problem with the justice system I feel
Glad the little wang got time. He's found it funny the whole time, absolutely no remorse. Chavy little mong.
Hypocritical shite. Many people think that speeding bikers endanger lives and should be strung up. I assume you agree with that then?
Maybe read up on the details a but more JM1. His sentence was for more than just driving himself in his own car onto the track. The owner of the vehicle who was also a passenger specifically told him not to and revoked his permission to drive her car. That enters a whole new realm... driving without expressed permission and holding passenger captive. Its a long list of offences he committed.....
Was his reaction to it all that p*ssed most people off. Made his own Facebook fan club etc. Utter tosser.
