Maybe so Beckers but here in the UK I can't imagine some bloke, siting at the lights on his REPSOL 'blade would be very happy having some commuter on a REPSOL scooter pull up beside him nodding and winking and then start comparing notes. BTW, I wonder, does Honda actually sell many REPSOL 'blades in Spain?
It's called aspirational and perhaps we shouldn't look down our noses and be too judgemental at those just starting out or who feel a Repsol scooter is what they would like, it's not pretending to be anything and why would you not be happy talking to someone who shares your passion just because they have a Repsol scooter, some sort of superiority complex.
The first part of my post was meant to be somewhat light-hearted mate. TBH, when I'm out on my 'blade the one group I always, but always give a nod to are learners on bikes or scoots.
Me too I give youngsters on scooters a nod and a wave, we need more learner riders to progress up otherwise our beloved Motorcycling will suffer.
I agree but it pissus me off when I see them in a t shirt and trackie pants and a pair of trainers, they have done there what's it called cpc ? Surely they are shown videos what Tarmac and skin do when they come together.not nice.and this is what happens when you wear propa gear so what a pair of trainers will do amazes me
Too right mate. As a 72 (and a half ) OAP myself, whenever I ride over to 'Crossgates' or where-ever it's depressing to see nothing but a sea of white-haired or bald old geezers like myself with almost no youngster present. 'Legislation' is killing our sport/pass-time. The only up-side is that there seems to be more young women taking up biking. Which is nice.
Speak for yourself nicko what you saying white haired geezers ,put you tongue out i I use a dye now only joking
It's the price of bikes and insurance to I guess mate. Didn't seem too long ago I picked up my brand new 2009 Repsol Fireblade with hugger/single seat cowl and rad guard for under £9k. You can add another three grand onto that these days. Only thing I am happy with is my insurance costs me £150 comp now.
Repsol scooters very popular on the continent, saw loads when I was in Germany earlier in the year. I know we were all learners once (but in my opion) lots of them ride like complete twats, and why the f*** do they think its cool to ride around with helmet strap undone.
I don't think much of the new Repsol paint job. Looks a little odd in places. Especially the white tail section with the Repsol coloured seat cowl. Don't like the white section near the front lights either. Looks like 2 bikes fairings (Repsol and White) on 1 bike. Last years Repsol was much nicer.
Indonesia has LOADS of repsol reps - all sorts of small bikes like the following, and they LOVE motoGP there - you will even have seen Indonesian messages on MM and DP leathers!
