Was looking at some brembos from an sp Blade and they have the same size piston where as the m4 normally has 34/34 pistons.

Based on that info not sure how the brembos fitted to the sp would be any improvement .

They won't, best improvement wil be a 19 RCS Brembo master cylinder.
The Brembo calipers for the SP will be made to Honda spec and PRICE. Not even sure they have steel pistons!!

I assume from your comment that steel pistons are better ?

Yes see here. Callipers built to Honda spec which is basically the same as the tokico ones. Not sure why they would do that, only guess is stock master cylinder not compatible with the larger m4 piston size of 34/34 on stock m4's. But if that was the case they could have fitted a different mc to the sp.

Steel pistons absorb more heat away from the pad area and dissipate it through the calliper fluid and body. Also they do not flex in the body. The only real draw back is they can corrode if not made from stainless.

Cheers for info. Do you know what material they use for pistons in the stock Brembo m4 ?

No idea, but probably not alloy, so some kind of special heat treated moon steel.

Any Brembo Caliper (even the Aldi special M4) will be better than a stock caliper whatever size pistons it uses. ;)

Cause the M4 arent really designed to be the best caliper. Theyre a 1 size fits all type approach so must be the best compromise.

The HPK's are different sized though :)
