Have you not got the owners handbook? Do you need one and workshop manual?

As far as range goes, similar commute to yours OCD, motorway at 50-80 and town traffic, on the 10 plate I was able to run 175 miles at a pinch (used to drop onto the reserve scale around 140), the 14 plate does 193.8 to dry.....verified by sitting in a dark country lane waiting for the wife to arrive with a jerry can.

Just done 161 miles and it is showing 0.3 gallon flashing ... so reckon 170-175 is about right and pretty much spot on for me.

I wish I read this thread before....

I was convinced that the reserve indicator would start at 0.0 and go up to 1.0 which would mean that the enitre 'reserve' fuel has been used. Well, last Saturday I was getting home from short trip to Milton Keynes, when the reserve fuel light went on on M1 very close to M25. I didn't bother to stop at the local station, as the indicator was 0.5, then 0.6 and literally 200yards from my home it tuned 0.7... and 100yards from home started to cought and 20 yards from home the engine died. Lucky me ;-)

It seems that I was also very lucky during my trip across Alps last year, at some point in the middle of nowhere I'd seen 0.5 flashing and found a local petrol station with 0.6 on the dash... uffff ;-)

Since fitting the Yoshi I've been riding like a tool, it sort of encourages me!!! 111 miles from brimmed to the light today! :D Thats 36mpg! Not that bad really.

I worked out that with my current range and 3.5l reserve thats around 30 miles before running out.
