I went yesterday - another great show. Didn't purchase much but took lots of photos. And my tip for anyone that hasn't been yet is to check out the girls on the Victory stand.... WOWAAWWOOWAH!
I've been given a free ticket from Hottrax and am getting a lift with Remal. Sounds like a cheap day so far, then I start thinking about the helmet (possibly 2) that I need to buy and maybe a set of race leathers if they're cheap enough.
Im looking at new helmets and really like this one but funds aren't so good http://www.fc-moto.de/HJC-RPHA-10-Plus-Speed-Machine-Helmet
I'm looking at getting a cheapish well fitting helmet with a good Sharp rating. However my mate is just getting into hydro-dipping so might get him to do something like this for my race lid (but with a union flag):
If it's any consolation, I hated the pics of it when it lauched. But seeing it in the flash yesterday made me change my opinion (slightly). It does look better in the flesh. Although having seen it I don't know how they've gotten away with the design of the tail. It's almost an exact copy of the Panigale!!
Yes would have to agree.......copyright infringement if you ask me...... when the F..K Honda going to launch a completely new blade ?????
Went with the Missus today and met a mate from Bristol. Had a good day but a distinct lack of bargains and less there than prvious years, but still plenty of bikes. I was after another set of Oxford Nanos which cost me £30 last year, but this year they wanted £50, and a Schuberth SR1 which was £300 last year was I believe £390 this time. Both bits can be bought online for the same price or less. For once I actually plucked up the courage to seek out a forum member and tracked down Beckers with the aid of his twitter profile pic. Nice to meet you mate. Best bike of the day for fit was the 2014 SP1
I think the internet has killed off the show bargains. Now we search and buy from every shop in the world from our sofa's in just a few minutes what are the chances of finding a bargain at a show where the shop is paying a fortune to have a temporary stall. The good thing is you see stuff in the flesh and try it on.
I'm afraid I won't be able to meet you guys on Saturday now. I am writing this from a hospital bed after severely dislocating my ankle and breaking my foot in four places. Hope you all have a fab time! Will still be here when you lots are in Brum so have a few for me
