yer the op was worse though , i still cant use my thumb properly , just hoping i don't have to sell my bike .
I was hoping for more from the WD40 wax, but it is way too thick, the chain would have to be super hot to allow it to get into the rollers. Also the application is really messy and hard to target the flow. Tenner wasted unfortunately
A while back I used Castrol wax, did 30k before having to replace the chain on a hornet, quite a lot fling though. They have newer stuff out now that I haven't tried yet
yep been using the Castrol Racing for some years, excellent protection and chain longevity 24K miles +, but as Slick states fling city, still that protects the parts it hits I guess. Is the newer stuff the QR? Might be worth a try. although hard to see why they would make 2 unless they phase out the Racing version.
Castrol racing lube for me too.Castrol car products I'm not a fan of but their bike lubes etc are good.
This is an old one, the original images have expired, google fingers trapped while lubing chain on gsxr! Don't click if your afraid of blood! guys be carefull when lubing your chains...GRAPHIC - Honda Motorcycles - FireBlades.org Fingers caught in chain! Ouch..

Great test and write-up! Have used Castrol racing lube on my bikes until now and was going to switch to WD40 wax having read good things about it, but reading this and seeing the pics I think I'll try SDOC instead. Cheers!
See this short vid of me applying both lubes. WD40 is much harder to apply! Controlling the nozzle is an off/on affair, very messy!. Notice the over spray onto the background, and also the thick consistency. It's like applying cream cheese to your chain, it aint gonna stay there. SDOC on the other hand, easy peasy!
mines on its way too, hope its up the the rigours of the british winter. Its gonna get tested thats for sure!
Got some SDOC and their chain cleaner power gel at the weekend and gave the bike the treatment - so far so good.
