Did have a strong urge to buy a Tikka T3 Tactical last year but thank god Biking costs got the better of me. Lovely weapon but would've spent 99% of it's time sat in the Gun cabinet so a total waste on me!
Think im nearly there.. lol metal ball bearing gun - Air pistol (buy from any shop) Plastic Ball bearings - BB Gun (need licence unless it colored) Which is a better one to have? as the shop sells both?
Nice rifle that.. I have some slots to fill but need to justify them haha, good job too or the cabinet may end up bigger haha, if the convo were not online Id go into detail of some great calibre Mate of mine has some great rifles, all military single shot mind thanks to UK law, from AKs to 45 under levers he just about has them all from WW1 to date I'd say... He has a lovely nickel 45 that shots where you look, great fun!
I'd have the steel BB, you can also run lead BB through them, good fun for plinking, steel BB bounce around all over as said already, they smash a car window with ease like a centre punch to watch out! As said if your projectile leaves your garden and someone was to call it in you can expect to have armed response and be in a world of shit! If target get a pellet pistol, much more accurate and far less likely to cause problems, also a pellet trap is a must if in the garden as well as a good backstop, sheet of ply maybe.
Ive got one of these sat around, give it to the kids to play on (supervised of corse), mine is the back grip ver, they are converted real pistols to CO2, has a real feel to it, heavy little pistol. Baikal MP-654K Makarov .177 air pistol Same as this, had it for years, still mint condition. slightly different grip It's does not group at all and as CO2 fires off it cools and looses PSI, warm it up in hand and power is restored, my mate has a target CO2 pistol, fires pellets and is much more accurate, however suffers the same running cost as CO2 so I'd still look at simple air pistol, .177.
Concur, I wouldn't buy a BB Gun at all, just get a nice .177 Pellet Gun and use a sheet of 18mm ply as a Back stop. If £200 is ya max then buy a used Weihrauch HW40/45 instead of a new un! http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Weihrauch_Air-Pistol_HW-40_For-Sale_140924151453002 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Weihrauch_Air-Pistol_HW45_For-Sale_141030224348831 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For...stol_HW-45-Blackstar_For-Sale_141119132056001

Should i get the additional kit as in the link? Thinking of stretching my budget..
.22 is bigger than an ,177 (of an inch) and will have more stopping power, whilst a .177 pellet travels faster and has a flatter trajectory. Both will easily kill birds and small furry pests like rats and rabbits.
I,ve got one of these: Shot myself in the leg to see if it hurt...the pellet was embedded in my leg, so yes, it hurts LOL. quite accurate too. My lad has a Walther PPK blow back, great guns and good fun.
Search Over i thinks... Have decided on a Weibrauch HW45. Found a local shop to me that has the silver one in stock in mint condition wit upgraded combat grips for £200.. Found him on here: http://www.gundealer.net/ heading there at lunch time to see it.. any final pointer to what i should be looking out for? coming from a shop so doubt there will be anything wrong with it.. He also suggested some local shooting ranges.. this is so exciting - did not realize its a pellet gun - was thinking ball bearing would be better as you can get moe in..one pellet at a time seems like a time consuming thing..?
Haha..i know. Had to use some electrical pliers to dig it out... it left a nice dent and hole...that was over a year ago.
With pistols deffo stick with .177, as Barstewardsquad said the velocity will be faster and less pellet drop over distance. Personally I like the Webley Alectro, it's pneumatic, recoilless and surgeon accurate. Also got 2 power modes ie target shoots and balls out tin can destruction!
Years ago some mates were messing around with one of my BB guns (when I were a lad ) they were pumping it up and feeling the air discharge from the barrel by placing their hand over the end, one said to other feel the air from this, puts his hand over the end like you do fires a BB point blank into his palm! They had been lucky in that the other times the weapon was pointed to the ground while cocking it, only when its held upwards does a ball roll back into the loading mechanism ready to be fired, not so lucky for my mate who this time drew the short straw haha.
That looks nice. As we are stuck what to get the kids for Christmas ( They have everything, Ipads, TV's, pc,s,Ps4's, bikes, etc etc ) I have been searching all morning trying to find things for them without success apart from some wireless headphones. I got looking around and the HW45 has great reviews but I think the kids would get fed up with having to reload every 5 seconds so searched for multi shot pistols. Came up with a Umarex Elite Force Race Gun, holds 16 shots of 6mm plastic or metal bb's, looks quite good. I will continue to have a search, see what is recommended.
