He's won on private bikes ain't he? And he's already had more success than many could dream of so has nothing to prove.... And lets face it, talent always gets backed, so someone will throw some money at him and rightly so. Personally I think he's awesome, and his whole stuff you, I don't give a fcuk attitude just makes me like him even more. And at the nec he didn't appear to have an ego at all. Watching the lads on trials bikes like any other enthusiast. Top lad, and wish him luck.
And finally.... What him and his family don't know about road racing aint worth knowing. Also remember people calling him a dick for 'losing' his Honda ride.... Didn't really make much diff did it
I would.... As think it could yet again back fire on the haters lol And tbh. The kwak looks shite on the roads ha
"Personally I think he's awesome, and his whole stuff you, I don't give a fcuk attitude just makes me like him even more". I wonder if you would still feel this way if you were employing him and paying his wages! When in employment I always thought you were supposed to do your job and "toe the company line"?
His job is to win races, simple, he does that. If I owned a team and he turned up in a big bird suit but still won the race I wouldn't give a flying fcuk.... Toe the company line? Do me a favour, he races motorbikes and could die every time he lines up. Get a grip fella And what wages you actually think they get mate? Feck all
Great so you let your superstar rider do exactly as he likes meanwhile your sponsors are pulling the plug! What you gonna do bank roll him yourself? What's dying got to do with owt? There are plenty of vocations where peoples life's are at risk. You really think a professional rider gives his services for free! It is you my friend that needs to get a grip.
90% of bsb and tt riders are paying for a seat buddy. If you don't know that you really ain't got a clue. And BMW and all the sponsors didn't mind basking in the dunlop glory did they.... Dying has everything to do with it, he swings his leg over the bike and risks it all. Not the manufacturer or the sponsor, and regardless of how much a cock you think he is, he wins races and is the most exciting guy out there at the mo, so someone will always back that talent.... I admire the fact he won't buckle to corporate pressure and yet still wins races. Guy Martin is loved by all and sundry (inc me) has the same maverick approach, but ain't won a tt. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather a million people hate me but I still looked at the trophy on my mantle piece
Ha ha... That's not an argument. Just an expression of opinions. Both prob valid IMO. Just different sides of the fence. Just struggle to see how we could slate the dude for doing something he loves, how he loves, at the highest level....
He defo is the best out there on the roads by a country mile in my opinion. I also think as I said before he could go on to become the best with the most wins ever.
hate him or love him if i was a factory team looking for wins he would be first choice then again young dean harrison is up there
And Peter Hickman he will deffo win a tt if not next year very soon but md would win on a bike prepared by himself he just has the edge on the others for me
Road racing is my main passion and he is an awesome rider and really pushes himself and whatever bike he rides. I also like his attitude, as far as I am concerned he has earned the right to have things the way he wants them. Of course being your 'own man' can prove costly but he is such a talent I am sure he will be competing competitively.
His 600 and superstock bikes have always been his own. The only bikes Honda racing and BMW motorrad provide him with are the factory superbikes. Therefore you could say in the last 2 years hes won 4 races on factory machines and 5 races on privateer. Not bad going. Wouldnt exactly be hard to micky D to get Chris Mayhew or similar to build him a full superbike either but why do it if you can be paid to do it all the same.
