If anyone is interested (?), this is the route we took this year over 12 days, we've done bits of this route before so some of it was familiar,
anyhow it was a cracking ride and the top end of Spain through the Pyrenees is fantastic and quite a bit different from France. Things are
actually well sign posted which I did not expect ! We had a couple of 2 day stops which gave us a chance to drop all the gear of the bikes and
go out for a proper hoon. We carry a lot of shit as we camp out so getting rid of it for a few days is awesome !

Done pretty much that route down to Monaco / route napoleon a couple times, great isn't it. We stayed in castellane for a couple days last year and is nice to base yourself for a day or two... But I do prefer being on the move.

Not sure I'd be up for camping though but the euro camp sites are excellent, we have had cabins a few times in France and did one night in Spain and was cool.

    Great cooking on BBQ etc....

We love a bit of camping and we have quality gear and a lot of luxuries like airbeds, electric air pump (sod the foot pump !), inflatable sofa (yes), military bivi, decent sleeping bags and a BBQ
of course. It's actually pretty comfortable and I don't take a lot more when I go by car in June. Here's a pick that'll make you laugh or cringe !
I use the official ACSI app on my phone to pick sites and so far they've all been superb with restaurants, shops. a bar and sometimes even a pool...

Quality!! I take a tank bag and US 30ltr and that's it ha.

Take enough clothes for about 4 days and wash half way round.

Yeah they are good, is quite relaxing also with big numbers :) but I'm def more of a glamper ha

It's what you're used to I suppose ? I've always loved camping out and it's largely about the quality / type of gear you choose, it's worth spending a few quid more !
In early June I took the car for a week in France and though it was sunny and warm (24 deg) in central France I decided to have a few days on top of the mountain
outside Bourg St Maurice which is one of our regular 2-3 day stops, big mistake ! At 1.30am it was -2 deg and snowing with lightning all around, I only stayed there the night
then headed back up to the Jura ! Still it was a great week away from work and I get by OK in France, can speak a fair bit of the lingo...
