Not really my type of music anymore but I was a big fan in he early 90's and had some great times at monsters of rock. You'll have a great time mate and Angus is one of the best entertainers in music, enjoy it and share pics if you get any.

    When is it?

Yep, Monsters of Rock at Donington Park was an annual event for me and my mates in our late teens and early twenties.

Remember when Guns n Roses first played and everyone was like "who the fuck are they' and 'what a stupid name' etc.

Remember Iron Maiden getting drowned out (which right Pissed em off lol) by Concorde taking off from East Midlands Airport!

I'm sure the Pilot gave it Max Thrust on purpose just to prove they weren't the Loudest thing on the Planet! [IMG]

That was my first MOR (1988 iirc), you might have seen me, I was sat on my mates shoulders throwing bottles of piss all over the gaff lol.

I remember the loud plane but I don't remember it being a Concorde, good to know though.

It was only a few days ago I was looking at download festival on Wikipedia, seems like a much bigger affair than MOR ever was, I'd love to go but I don't know a single person that would like to go with me so never likely to happen.

I will be at the Glasgow gig.
    Managed to get 3 tickets.
Have seen them before, and would easily have just missed this one, but the wife has never seen them live.
And she was desperate to, so I had to oblige.
I prefer Airbourne these days to AC/DC.

I too was at MOR in 88.
GN'R were awesome, and that had the fan killed in the crush near the front too.
Maiden wee just awesome though, as were Helloween.

Maybe its because I am from another generation but I don't get this piss flinging funny, in fact I find it disgusting. If I ever got any on me or my other half, I would hunt the perpetrator down and they would be urinating through a catheter the rest of their lives. Not even slightly amusing funny dude.
