Got this exhaust on my 05 blade. Imported from the states. Its not overly loud but quite loud. Am planning a trackday at oulton park next year and they run a 102db limit which i dont think i will make. Its not designed for baffles as the two exits are reasonably small. any ideas?
Failing that i may remove it and sell it and just buy a beowulf oval with removeable baffle. The sale of this can should pay for that and still have change left in my pocket.
lol, I actually like tis can though. Its the only one that fits the gap under the seat without leaving any gaps. all the others just look like tupence bolt on extras.
I will dig the bike out the weekend and borrow the micrometer from work. you can here the bike at the end of this video. Me touring scotland. just after the applecross road.
If thats not possible just under 102db and I will skip the 98db days. (normally weekend hero days anyway lol)
If it's the can on the bike doin the filming, it don't sound exceptionally loud mate. If you can get to a trackday meet one day, they will test it for ya without you having to pay?
nope, You see me pull away at the end at about 12:27. The camera bike is a cbr600f with a stock exhaust ;-) Then a 918 blade goes by with a stainless oval with a baffel in. Can tell mine is 10 times louder.
Now I get ya, yep that's loud. I can make you a baffle to get you through the noise tests and run OK on the road, but you would need to alter the fuelling with a PC for the trackif it's already been set up for that can? Can you do another drive by video?
Blade is off the road at the moment. I think the baffles will help it as the bike has no power comander fitted. I am planning on buying one but looking for cheap ones on ebay lol. The bike bogs down in first gear when trying to pull away quick. so baffles might actually help it breath normally.
Im a bit dubious if it would make a 105db day aswell in the current form. only td ive done on it was donnington on a noisy day so no sound test.
Right, Measurements. inside diameter of pipes left side is 39.26mm right side is 39.35mm wall thickness of pipe is 1.3mm 10mm of pipe sticking out of end can. Hope that is enough dude.
nope, welded in, its a sealed unit. Just found this on ebay, Wonder how accurate it would be? NEW SILVERLINE SOUND LEVEL METER 50-126DB 633937 | eBay
