Nexus 6 and Android 5 info from Google http://googleblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/android-be-together-not-same.html?m=1
They now have a official site for Nexus 6. www.google.com/nexus/6/ Spec looks pretty good. Bit disappointing that it is only a usb2 connector though, would have much preferred a usb3 port.
Still running HTC one, great phone imo, the M8 is MUCH better, camera is up with Samsung and its fast, think my time with big smartphones is going to end next time round, seem to be getting in the way of day to day life. May take a look at the smaller HTC's.
Galaxy note 3 has usb3 not sure if the note 4 has, however did you know that even if it has usb3 you can still charge it with a mini usb2
Yes I knew the cable trick. I also use it to transfer data from a USB hard drive when I foget to take my USB 3 cable. It was the Note having USB3 that raised the expectation for the Nexus 6 (and 9).
It's funny, I've always been able to grasp new kit and get my head around it relatively quickly, but mobiles just leave me a bit cold. I've just bought my first smartphone and it's great, I like it, but I do just tend to use it when I can't be arsed to look for my ipad. I just struggle to get turned on my which one's better at doing what than the next one. Oh, and networking. I haven't got a bloody clue how that works, right Arthur?
My Daughter and her fellow College mates are all off on a 4 day Residential Art Course on Monday. There was nearly a feckin mutiny and near tears in the lecture apparently when the Tutor casually threw in to the conversation that there is no WiFi or 3G where they are staying so all Facefuck addicts will be off radar till Thursday evening!
well after some good reviews from others who have this phone I now have a Nexus 6 nice phone just started sorting it out and transferring contacts from my iPhone 5

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it, Remal. I haven't seen one in the flesh but the thing that was putting me off was the sheer size of the thing I'd seen on the reviews.
I am not small so can manage one headed using the phone Impressed so far but very early to give a good report yet. Phone was fully charged as of about 1pm. So will see how long it lasts with the hammering it will get today and tomorrow. it feels good, it's big but I've already got used to it. Lollipop is very good and I can say i'm not missing my Iphone 5 yet. But again still early days.
I've had Lollipop on my Nexus 5 for a few weeks now and I like it. It feels like a definite improvement over the previous iterations. Incidentally, since you've gone Android.........I just bought a Chromecast last night and I'm pretty impressed with it. For the price of the thing it's pretty awesome what it can do. I installed Plex on my PC and then the app for my phone and got the Chromecast streaming movies wirelessly off my PC upstairs. I was already doing this previously with my WD TV Live box but the box itself and its menu system were really slow. I didn't think the Chromecast could do home network wireless streaming so was well pleased to find that it could. A bit of a no-brainer purchase, if you ask me.
I've had the lollipop update on my LG G3 recently. Seems OK - noticed the battery does drain slightly faster tho. Didn't fancy the fact that the Nexus 6 doesn't have a MicroSD slot, so I went for the LG. Happy with it so far
I have more fruit based products than Android so have Apple Tv that I really like. AS I can acquire movies on my mac I can watch them on the TV as well as buying movies via iTunes.
I never missed the SD card slot on my iPhone 5 so was not bothered. As for buying apple and other makers chasing them that might have been the thing a few years ago but not now. I like my Fruit based products but after having various phones and trying the iPhone 5 i'm not missing it
Update: First 24 hours of ownership Loving that Nexus 6 IT'S BIG did I say that but not to big I can't put it in my pocket or have any issues due to it's size Lollipop is very good and the phone is bloody quick compared to my iPhone 5 running 8.2.2 Screen is crisp And my dog the phone has been used a lot. I have downloaded a free 2 gig movie. watched half the movie. watched in bed never mind the buzzcocks last night. Phone call's texts. What app, tried out video photo, Both very good. To put int into contexts my iPhone (Yes over 2 years old) would have lasted about 6 hours if that from what I have been doing with the Nexus 6 Phone's still on 28% But it really has been worked very very hard. Hoping to get to tonight before it needs a charge. And bare in mind it's only been charged once so the battery is still going to get better over the net 5-10 charges. Well from what I understand So at the moment enjoying the phone greatly
Put lollipop 5.0.1 on my nexus 5 last night. Only problem I had with the initial release was a possible battery drain, but that could be due to the office I am in having a crap mobile signal. As for everyone chasing apple, I can't wait for a 6" android phone to be released so we can emulate the 6s. Hopefully we can have a notification bar as well, and if really lucky we can have NFC
