Right it's been a while since I needed anything for my Go pro 1

So the wife's bought me a Go Pro 4 Black ( A pain to get hold of) and I want to get myself a few accessory's in the new year to use in the car and on the bike

I know I want A extra battery or 2. I Will need a few more larger micro SDHC cards.

But other than that what would be ideal to get or worthwhile?

I would ideally want a headstock mount for the Go pro but unsure of the fitment sizes or what is best
Any links to headstock mounts people have used on the Blade

    cheers

The official gopro suction cup is worth getting, attached properly it won't come off, although I do fit a piece of paracord just in case. Got some good footage from tank and lower side fairing with it. I had a stick on bracket on the back of my zx10 seat cowl and captured some awesome shots of friends behind. You could get a satnav fitment for the yolk then adapter for go pro. I'm sure ebay will have something if you type in yolk adapter go pro.
I got 2 spare batteries with wall charger from Amazon for my 3 black edt. They are Wasabi power I think and last slightly longer than genuine gopro battery.
Memory card wise, unless it's changed you want a class 10.

    Hope this helps a bit

Couple of links to look at

Look for 4k compatible memory cards otherwise you'll get jerky footage when you play it back

I'm waiting on the black coming back in stock, have purchased extra flat and curved mounts for the bike and helmets. Gonna get the smart remote and the dual battery charger, comes with spare battery. Thinking about the battery BacPac too for use on the bike.
The helmet arm mount from dogcamsport looks good,it's like taking selfies while riding, seen some good shots taken using this.

Gents.......I managed to steal ( I think) a hardly used GoPro Hero 3 for £40 , thing is I don't know much about them other than loads of bikers use them. Any idea what sort of battery life I can expect on 1 charge , the memory card in it is one of those 8mb mini cards.......is that ok ?. There seems to be an interface plug on the back.......hell knows what that's all about !. The only thing missing is a charger.......will any mini plug charger do the trick ?

I have the suction mount. But the 4k men card. Would that not be SDHC cards with a good write speed?

As I said I have had Go Pro's for 5 years just wondering what is worth getting with the new one I will have next week

I'll look into the headstock mount as thats the thing at the top of my list

My go pro 1 would last 2-3 sessions on a trackway before needing to be replaced. So about a hour give or take. maybe 30 mins more. I know my Go Pro 1 would only take up to 32gig. as they are cheap get the most you can. I will be getting a minimum of 32gig for the Go pro 4.

as for the rest of your questions I have no idea as I only have the Go Pro 1

They are developing cards for 4k cameras because the write speeds even on some class 10 type cards is still not enough, bit like using a class 4 card when recording 1080p the footage is all stop start

I have a yoke nut adaptor to the 1" ball type RAM mount for my Gopro on my track bike and find it ideal.

    PB150188.JPG

Similar top yoke nuts (depending on nut size) are available on Amazon or there are loads of other RAM mount styles.
Yoke 10 for Honda Motorcycles Yoke Cap Bike GPS Satnav Mount Base fits Rider, Zumo, Ultimate Addons, SW-Motech & RAM: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

I quite often forget to check the battery at a track day if there's other stuff going on so for next year I'm going to fit a skeleton case and wire the camera to the bike battery with one of these.

    Moto Charge USB

I should then only need to take the card out at the end of the day!

I recommend Crooked Imaging, competitive pricing and free tracked delivery on all items. Have bought all my accessories from them so far, just waiting on WEX getting a Hero 4 Black in stock as I have vouchers for them.
