Whilst washing the bike last night I noted the fairing bolts looking the usual wintery crustiness... So..titanium is the way forward, so I had a look on this website (saw their logo on a MotoGP bike, who say's advertising doesn't work) Pro-Bolt Titanium Fairing Kit CBR1000 RR Fireblade Very nice....however... the price..blimey I'm not one to shy away from expensive bling, (looking to get a pair of Ohlins forks made for me as a special order ) But £200+ for a dozen or so bolts.... Looks like it's going to be stainless ones then
I may have received one of these engine kits this morning .. not worth the dosh though for 25 bolts!! would be better going on to the TITANIUM FANGED RACE BOLTS (DRILLED) website and picking all the bolts individually.. probably save yourself about £70
Same as gilesy said, find the sizes out and order from anywhere but pro - bolt and save a fortune Competition fastners Racebolt Look at lathe dog on ebay also
I had the Pro-bolt fitting kit a few years back and it was wrong so worked with them to get the kit right. Even then it was silly money but there wasn't the likes of Lathe Dog and Racebolt around at the time. Racebolt are awesome, They make bolts and fittings based on my specs and very reasonable.
well racebolt are at it again.. got my kit through for the blade and the bags said Aprillia. No issues I thought - probably just a bag labeled wrong, went to fit the kit today and shock it only partly fits. The bolts for the clutch and sprocket cover are wrong.. I know I got a good deal after the last wee issue a few weeks ago, but thats no excuse for sending out the wrong kit
lol well fingers crossed they sober up and send me the right ones! no rush so no big deal.. but it would have been nice to get it right first time.
