Whilst removing my fairings today I came across a vacum pipe that has been disconnected from a valve and blocked off with a bolt... Looked in my Haynes manual but still don't have a clue what or why??

    Any info grateful....

Rr.. its for the flapper at the intake. Its a mod that we are all doing - don't worry about it

    edit

Could not see the image well last night, you can block that end of the vacume pipe as it's easy to do, you can also block the pipe at the engine next to the throttle body and junk all the rest.

One pipe comes from the inlet/throttle bodies, goes to the vacume tank and selnoid, block it so air does not get sucked into the engine.

Are you missing an engine bolt there?

Do you have R&G crash bungs that unbolt from that hole?
If so that will be the engine bolt that he's on about.
