Just wait until the Wotld Cup is in Qatar and they have 3 messed seasons of fixtures. If LvG is looking for sympathy he should look in the dictionary between shit and syphilis.
2 quick games on the bounce, a mini Christmas programme in advance. Winners and losers........Chelski, Citeh, Manks, Hammers & Gooners. Losers .........Barcodes, Potters, Baggies, Rs, Foxes. the rest a middling return. Chelski are being kept honest by Citeh, who seem to have had a shot up the bum and are earning their millions at the present time. The Kings Rd strollers do not seem to be breaking much sweat though and even without the Spanish Pitbull, have fell back onto am ageing legend who stills knows where the net is better than 90% of PL strikers. But for Citeh, I think its now game on, Chelski know they cannot afford to slip, and Ageuro is not just the best striker in the PL, but IMO the best player all round. The Manks have quietly glided into the CL positions, but still have major issues at the back, and IMO even if tehy get some of those missing central defenders back, they still are not good enough, so the January window cannot come fast enough for LvG, thats if he has stopped spitting his dummy out about working over Christmas. The Cruise City works team had the wheels come off their boat trailer, 4 defeats Liverpool, Spuds, Citeh and now Arsenal, all either top or pretentions to be top teams, so an upper mid table finish, they would probably have settled for that in July I guess. The Pool have wet the bed and eased the pressure in Rodgers, but again look at who they have beat, so on watch, just a mid table PL team. The Spuds got past the Toffees but then met a predictable result last night, so whores and draws still. Anyway looks like the new stadium has come a little closer with the suspicious bonfire across the road from the existing dump. The bottom is compacting, Villa having a mini run and suddenly mid table, Hull arresting the slide with a point, but the bottom is gelling nicely with Rangers on the way and Leicester doing everything they can to try to beat Rangers to bottom place for Christmas, and with Pearson dissing his own fans....ouch matey what a dumb thing to do. Civil war starting in West Bromwich, Mr irvine on his way out I feel, and a team in free fall. Burnley showing some true Northern grit, glad luck to them, there's worse teams in the PL.
"suspicious bonfire across the road from the existing dump." haha had to laugh at that one! my only EPL game was at Spurs.. thought it was gash on the outside, but quite good on the inside!
Two more games in the record books and the table is taking a familiar look to it. Chelski have been downed by the Barcodes, and Citeh have closed a gap that at one time looked like it might become an impossible task. But with the PLs best player on the sidelines, and a decent defender crocked, they will need to drill down in that deep squad to stay in touch. Soton have imploded, 4 losses on the spin, and only 1 goal in 6 hours of footie, Christmas will define the rest of their season. A Soton mate who goes home and away every game seemed pretty despondent on Sunday after the long trek north and back, reckons players that were scoring for fun have hit the wall. But with so many new foreign imports it often happens. So the next 2 weeks will really shape where the PL is going, 4 games in quick succession will test teams mental and physical fitness and their ability to work around injuries, fatigue and suspensions. It will interesting to see the make up of the top 6 come Jan 1. Chelski and Citeh will be there, although on paper Citehs fixtures look a little easier, they could be tied at the top, the Mancs have an easy run, they will be close. Hammers a middling schedule, could still be in there, Sotons is grim, can see them slipping out. Gooners are also middling, will be knocking on the door and our dear old Hotspuds should take 6 points to keep them in the top half. At the bargain basement, its hard not to see the Foxes still rooted to the bottom come Christmas day, and have only a half chance of taking maybe 3 points from 12, so could enter the New Year on 13 and heading back to the Championship and the only reason they will stick with Pearson is because I doubt there is any manager who can save them. Our old friend Arrys motley crew at Loftus Rd will be joining them, just wondering how long that little muppet Barton can stay on the pitch, how he never walked on a red last night is beyond me. I really thought we had seen the last of Sunday morning pub players in the PL. Hull are heading the same way, with Burnley looking like they have more talent and more fight in them. And the rest? well as usual they will be fighting to not fall into the relegation dogfight and end up in a nice safe mid table finish so they can sit back at the top table again next season and play with the gravy train, whilst their employees on the playing side and their employees agents get fatter and fatter by the day. So they might have to give up an extra portion of Christmas pud and have to go to bed early on New Years Eve, but the 30 to 300K per week that drops into their accounts is fair compensation compared to what Joe Public has to survive on. Merry Christmas footie fans.
great summary as usual! will have to get you tuned into scottish footie next! we are having a right laugh up here with 'the' rangers.. the gift that keeps on giving
Spot on Kentblade if we don't beat Sheffield tonight we are in the smelly stuff players that we're flowing at the start of the season not quite at the same level plus a few injurys same for most is a issue for us. Need to buy in the January window a forward and attacking midfielder. However still 5th and living the dream but could soon turn to a nightmare
Right then were in the smelly stuff ! Looks like the youth team out against Everton on Saturday. Failing that le- tiss get yer boots on
Well we're still near the top all the talk today Chelsea this Chelsea that the pundits don't like if do they when the cruise ship works team doing well we march on. And if anyone wants scherderlin in jan 30M please.....
Yet again we win because Arsenal did not play well, pundits get lost we had more spirit and played well. Just because the are the so called big teams does not give them the automatic right to win. In Koeman we trust
