hi opie, what do you reckon? Make: honda Model: cbr1000rr8 Year: 08 Engine type: 1000 Performance modifications: end can, air filter, pc3, hm quickshifter Driving style: track use only Any other information that may be relevant: bike does "use" oil, from top of dipstick to bottom after a full day on track. What recommendation are you looking for? Engine
Hi Guy, to be honest i don't know what oil is in the blade at the moment, I bought it track ready and have done 4 days, each day topping up the oil. I usually use something like Silkolene Pro 4 10-40 in my bikes. cheers mark
The Silkolene Pro 4 is very good stuff, if you are happy with it I would stick with it. The oil usage could be down the oil that was already in there when you purchased the bike. I would suggest an oil change to something you are familiar with such as the Pro 4 and monitor the usage. Silkolene BOA 90 LS High Performance Gear And Limited Slip Differential Oil Cheers Guy

Morning. What would you recommend for the wife's bike? Make: Honda Model: NSR125R Year: 1994/95 Engine type: 2 Stroke Performance modifications: None Driving style: (road / off-road / track etc): Road, learner
Hi Here are some good oils for that. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-502-2-stroke-engine-oils.aspx It's difficult to say which one is best for you. If the bike gets used hard or you want the best, go for Silkolene Pro 2 or Comp 2, Castrol Power 1 Racing, the Motul 710 or 800, Millers CFS, or the Castrol Power 1 Racing. Otherwise, Silkolene Super 2, Motul 100 or 510, Castrol Act Evo or Shell Advance will be absolutely fine. Cheers Tim
