I want to upgrade the brakes on my 2012 Fireblade as I think they are crap as standard.

I am looking to replace the standard master cylinder with either Brembo or Accossato. The Accossato are a little cheaper than the Brembo but don't know how good they are. Biker Discount Store are doing a 19x20 Accossato Master cylinder and a pair of HEL brake lines for £179.95 which looks to be a bit of a bargain. I am also going to upgrade the standard pads.

Anyone got any experience with the Accossato master cylinders?

    Cheers
    Stu.

Yup, I bought mine off mike before I started racing. Amazing bit of kit and not had a single issue with it. Set of decent pads and I can assure you it's more than you'll need.

Only prob now is my brakes are too good for the suspension ;)

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or BDS. Always a great service.

Very happy with my 19RCS! I like the feel much better than the standard master and I also have HEL lines.

Brembo M4's turning up Monday so I will be interested to see how much better they are on top of the master.

Not so much the bite (which is improved) its the lack of fade and increased feel the mc and lines will give you.

Does the Accossato one come with a brake light switch? can't see it in any picture. This is for my road bike so I would need one.

Before I bought my current Blade I test rode a BMW, now I think the brakes on my Blade are good but on the BMW they seemed like they were on another level of stopping power, I wonder if this upgrade would give a similar feel. I've not really experienced brake fade on the road although fancy a few trackdays this year so watch this space!
