Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have no experience or knowledge on this subject.

Just in the process of buying a zx10r (sorry) and want to fit a QS. I'm thinking of opting for a HM superlite as they have the best reputation and he superlite is well priced.

The main use will be road riding so most likely will keep the catalytic converter on with an akrapovic end can.

If I'm right the QS will kill the ignition briefly. If this is the case will unburnt fuel in the catalytic convertor become a problem.

    Thank for any help offered.

    Hi mate.

I'd say that for road riding you would actually want the likes of the HM SS, as when riding on the road you tend not to change gear at the same revs all the time. The SS has as it suggests seamless shift technology built into he unit and will adjust the kill times on the cuff, and therefore give you a smoother gear change for whatever revs you want to change gear at.

In regards to the un-burnt fuel issue that it bit beyond me.

Or look at the new healtech qs as has adjustment to alter kill times based on revs and is very reasonably priced. Adjusted via Bluetooth on an android phone or pc. Will be trying one shortly :)

Hi guys, regarding the unburnt fuel issue, that is not an issue ;)

Regarding the "new" Healtech, this has a couple of feature's we looked at a couple of years ago to make them fit a much broader range of models but the way it fits to the bike does not give you anywhere near enough of an accurate reading to be able to convert this info so it can be digitally processed so we scrapped it back then. The reason why is so many different manufacturers use different bolts and methods etc as well as the condition of the spline etc now coming in to play so it was not worth it. With the kill time being adjusted by the rpm also, actually won't go in to why we don't and won't offer that as it could be seen as trying to put it down when I don't do that :D

Any off them will work equally fine on the road with the further you go up the range the better it will be for you so really its down to budget.

I would really recommend the Plus or the Plus SS myself but again, depends on your budget :)
